The fact is different people within the LGBTQ community don't always recognize, or fully understand others. This is especially true of people like me that stayed closeted for over half a century. At age sixty-five, I've had very little exposure to other LGBTQ people, even gay men compared to most gay men. Still in the process of learning about myself and others.
