Okay, to clear up exactly what happened in between the New York production and the revised London production, and exactly what changes were made: After Heathers closed Off-Broadway, the show was quickly made available for licensing in the US (and some other territories). Shortly after this, a new version of the show, called Heathers 101, was created as a 'high school edition'. This featured new dialogue, new teenage-voice-friendly keys for some songs, new lyrics (all those lyric changes you hear on the Riverdale version and blame those guys for? They're written by the same people as the lyrics you know and love, so don't be so quick to throw shade), and a new song to replace 'Blue', called 'You're Welcome' - a song more serious in tone than 'Blue, and in which we see the full journey of that scene play out, from Veronica finding herself alone with the two jocks, to their growing attempts at date-raping her, and finishing with Veronica resorting to defence to get herself out of the situation (a plot point which existed before, but was brushed over much more quickly in favour of playing up the comedy of the song). It wasn't long before the writers, Kevin Murphy and Laurence O'Keefe, decided they preferred 'You're Welcome' to 'Blue'. They acknowledged that 'Blue' was a funny, catchy song, which perfectly encapsulated the 'boys will be boys' mentality that Kurt and Ram have, but that it was basically nothing more than a 'list song', meaning lyrically it served no purpose other than to list as many different puns about balls as it could, and make light of the genuine danger Veronica finds herself in in that scene. They ran out of time before the show opened in New York in 2014 to make the show, and that song specifically, exactly what they wanted it to be, and had to 'freeze' it as it was. So when 'You're Welcome' had been tried and tested with the school edition, they realised it was much closer to their idea of what the tone of the show should be than 'Blue' was, and made the decision to replace 'Blue' with 'You're Welcome' in the licensed script and score. A little while after the New York run, the writers were approached by UK producer Paul Taylor-Mills, who had seen the 2014 Off-Broadway production and loved it, and he asked them if they would like to bring Heathers to the UK in a workshop format, to establish a UK presence for the show whilst fine-tuning things they might not have had time to polish the first time round. They took this offer up, and, alongside the show's original director Andy Fickman, brought Heathers to the UK for the first time in a semi-staged, scripts-in-hand presentation at The Other Palace Studio in May 2017, with no sets, lighting, or costumes, and a 3 piece band (for comparison, the full orchestration asks for 7 musicians). This ran for 5 performances, with public feedback heavily encouraged (including during the performance, via a mobile app called Slido), and rewrites made every single day, to try out new things - including 'You're Welcome' within the context of the full 'adult' show, with a live audience. The workshop was a huge success, and prompted the Off-West End premiere of Heathers a year later at The Other Palace's larger Theatre space. More changes and rewrites were made across the show, and a new song was added for Heather Duke called 'Never Shut Up Again', replacing 'Blue (Reprise)', and, of course, it's replacement, 'You're Welcome (Reprise)'. Shortly after opening, a suggestion was made by Andrew Lloyd Webber (owner of The Other Palace) to write an empowerment song for Veronica when she breaks up with JD in Act Two. The writers got to work, and finished the song just in time to be performed in the final week of performances at The Other Palace. The song was 'I Say No', and it was 'officially' put into the show when the production transferred to the West End thanks to it's record-breaking run at The Other Palace, but it was in fact performed at The Other Palace during the last week of the show's run there. Just under a month after closing at The Other Palace, Heathers transferred to the West End, opening at the Theatre Royal, Haymarket. After a week of 'unofficial' previews, during which even more rewrites and changes were made to the production, the show was finally presented to critics (they had not been invited to the previous runs due to their work-in-progress nature) and the show ran for a limited run of 12 weeks. A cast recording was made halfway through the West End run and was released a few months after the show closed, and a UK tour was announced. Although not officially announced, it appears some more subtle changes have been made to the show since the closure of the West End production in preparation for the UK tour, including revised choreography and orchestrations. However, as it currently stands, the 'definitive' version of Heathers: The Musical, as far as the show's writers and creative team are concerned, is the version reflected on the West End cast album, and that is the version of the show that will soon be licensed to amateur and professional companies across the world for performance. Source: myself, a London theatregoer who loved the 2014 Off-Broadway cast album, saw one of the 2017 workshop performances live, before seeing the Off-West End run twice and the West End run 18 times (yeah oops), being lucky enough to meet the writers and creative team a number of times at each of these runs and chat to them about the show, it's journey, and the changes made, as well as following their careers and work since via social media.
Concerning West End Heathers: I discovered Heathers via the Off-broadway album but went to see it in London as it‘s closer to me. As far as I know lots of the original creatives were involved in the show, and Blue wasn‘t replaced by I Say No, but by You‘re Welcome which is a much scarier version of Blue with some of the original lyrics from Blue included and as someone who has seen it performed I can say it‘s very effective, maybe as much/even more? as Blue😊
I agree with you there and yes the writer and the composer went over from the us to the uk for the transfer (was lucky enough to meet them at the other palace actually)
I personally like You’re Welcome more then Blue. Simply because- Blue makes me cringe to a point of being uncomfortable and You’re Welcome makes me less uncomfortable. Also, You’re Welcome feels more serious and less of a joke.
Writers of Heathers movie: let's do a satirical thing about high school! America: what's satire? School is just gonna be like this now... oops? Heathers: America:
This is just my opinion but your welcome the song that replaced blue for me shows how like for lack of a better term scarier kurt and ram can be instead of like the comedic song about date rape so i feel like in that aspect i liked the west end version a little more.
I agree - I love Blue as a tune but I get why they changed it - it's not that it was "offensive", it's that it was played for laughs and it was successful in that. That's almost the opposite I guess - that it *should* be offensive but people laughed along
I used to go to this theatre and we actually had not 1 girl named heather, not 2 girls named heather, we had ALL 3! And the funniest thing is that none of them got along and all lowkey hated each other.
My facts for the movie: You mentioned the ‘brain tumor for breakfast’ line? Kim Walker, the actress who played Heather Chandler in the movie died in the late 90’s of a brain aneurysm. Also tragically, Jeremy Applegate, who played the nerd character Peter Dawson (he had the monologue at Heather C’s funeral about how he hopes suicide doesn’t happen to him. Jeremy Applegate committed suicide on March 23rd, 2000. Kind of weird instances of art imitating dialogue from the movie I thought you guys might enjoy. EDIT: Actually it turns out Kim Walker passed AFTER Jeremy Applegate, so 2001. I was wrong about the late 90’s my bad
9:45 That is also why I love the musical version more. JD smiles in the musical, but around after rams death and especially meant to be yours, the smile has fangs. The smile has the bones of students between it’s teeth. JD in the movie smiles the whole movie and acts deranged throughout. Musical JD crescendos insanity. The part in meant to be yours where the chorus of students comes in is where it gives chills and you start to think: “wait… this isn’t what I thought it was” and you almost feel with Veronica and I think it’s wonderful. And the line “still I will if I must” shows that he has a goal and Veronica was just used as a pawn. Idk if I’m misinterpreting anything here. I’m 12.
I honestly wish we could just have both "Blue" and "I Say No" in the same show. Maybe it's that I love Carrie Hope Fletcher's song just so much, but I feel like they both add something to the show.
Anyone else think Heathers UK is way darker than off-Broadway Heathers?? I’ve seen both (one slime tutorial and one live ) and the UK version especially Jamie Muscato was just chilling.
Fun fact. I say no didn't replace blue, a song called you're welcome did and it's literally just Veronica being terrified of what these guys will do to her. Yeah they flipped it to Veronica's POV rather than Kurt and rams, but it still packs this huge punch. I feel like they needed to do more research before dissing the UK version
13:31 Ryan I just thought that you should know that I watched the US slime tutorial first a couple years back and I loved it. I fell in love with it. After having watched it again early this year, I fell in love with it and musical theatre again and from there I found the UK version. I love both depictions of the show and I just connected with it so much but I didn’t really understand why at first but I am in love with both versions of the musical and if anything I would love to see them combined with all of the songs. For example I would have loved to see Blue in the UK version, then see Kurt and Ram perform Youre Welcome after that to show how quickly the tables have turned. But yeah, just though you should know that I wouldn’t change anything of either versions I have seen, I would love to see a combined show of all of the songs.
On the West End production Blue is replaced by Your Welcome, I Say No is later in the show. I personally like both Blue and Your Welcome in different ways.
i was trying to ignore this, but i feel like i need to say that Blue wasn't replaced with I Say No, it was replaced with You're Welcome, which is honestly, a lot scarier
as for Blue vs. You're Welcome, I listened to Blue for the first time when I was probably about 11, so naturally it made me a little uncomfortable. I quite like it now, though You're Welcome is extremely catchy. I prefer the tone of Blue however, and I don't think I would've switched them.
Same. The first time i heard Blue was a few months ago when i was 15, and it made me uncomfortable, even tho i wasnt as young as you were when you first heard it, hearing it for the first time makes you squirm. Now i kinda like the tone of it and it’s catchy
Blue was replaced by You're Welcome is still about date rape but it adds more depth to the scene. I honestly think You're Welcome is closer to what would actually happen in highschool (as an almost highschool student) Sure they might use some of the vocabulary used in Blue but You're Welcome is honestly more accurate to what would go down at Highschool. Especially some of the things tha Kurt and Ram say, and (spoiler of lyrics ahead) when Veronica starts talking about what she learned in her self defense classes. I like both Blue and You're welcome dont get me wrong both are amazing.
My brain just exploded. Sam, who I knew from Hi5 Corp and Totally Trendy... Ryan, who acted as JD from Heathers. ARE CONNECTED IN THIS UNIVERSE- WHAT!?

12:02 I know loads of people have already said this but Blue was replaced with Your Welcome which in my opinion was even better than blue. Your Welcome has its comedic lines yet it’s a lot darker and in a minor key too which, in my opinion, sets the tone a lot better and adds an intensity to the scene. I used to be a die hard fan of Heathers and I watched the west end production and didn’t enjoy it as much as the off-Broadway Heathers because the costumes and extra songs just didn’t fit the vibe of the original.
10:00 to 15:00 (West End Heathers) You got a point with Blue being important, but what you got wrong was I say No Came as a song to furthen Veronicas Character She gave JD a Chance in Our love is god and Seventeen but now she says No. What actually replaced Blue was You're welcome, which keeps the youth language from Kurt and Ram and the controversity but mixes it with Veronicas Helplessness. A subjectiv opinion: I feel like Blue drags a bit after the minute 2.
You're Welcome (replaced blue) has lines like "how can you expect us to control ourselves" and "we can't be blamed" etc. I definitely wouldn't call it "safe" as it definitely is the opposite. I Say No happens later on in the musical and Carrie hope fletcher has absolutely incredible vocals. I'd love to see you guys watching both of these songs!! (I'd also recommend Jamie Muscato's Meant to be Yours)
Side note: blue was replaced with you're welcome, which was also more empowering for Veronica but still sung by Kurt and ram I have no real opinion because I like you're welcome better but (and I guess I'd be a hypocrite not to count this as more important so I guess I'm against removing it) blue fits better there I say no was a separately added song (which, musically, I absolutely love, but I won't go into that rn unless anyone wants me to) They also added a song for Heather duke which, just as a concept, I hate for so many reasons (which I also won't go into unless someone wants me to)
Heathers added your welcome - which is their version of blue, same context just more raw. They also added i say no, and never shut up again- Heather dukes song
Someone already said it deeper in the comments but ‘blue’ was actually replaced by ‘you’re welcome’ which is similar to ‘blue’ but it puts a slightly more realistic look on it, making it a little heavier than blue. ‘I say no’ tho was Veronica cutting ties from JD and describing what it’s like being with him and realizing he’s making all these promises ab changing but he’s never going to actually fulfill them
blue was replaced by a song called you’re welcome and blue reprise was replaced by a song called never shut up again :). i say no was a song that happened right before kindergarten boyfriend at the end of act two and it was a song where veronica stood up to jd
I know it is a two year old video and a lot of people have already said it. But, Laurence O’keefe wrote ‘you’re welcome’ to replace blue himself. You mention about the ‘Originalist version’ and the lineages of the off broadway version. Fickman, O’keefe and Murphy all came over to London to do Heathers in the west end so that’s a pretty good lineage. There is also a slime video of the 2018 west end show if you ever want to review it.
I Say No is Veronica’s break-up song with JD. She finally realizes that he is going down a road that she cannot save him from and their relationship needs to end. It’s crucial to Carrie Hope Fletcher’s version of Veronica, who is a little bit feistier and strong-willed than Barrett Wilbert Weed’s Veronica, in my opinion. Both are AMAZING takes on the character but I Say No is super important to the west end version of Veronica
this man put west end heathers and riverdale heathers in the same sentence, please :( Edit: ryan i dont think you understand how much heather fans appreciate heathers the musical as a whole. there is no separation between westend and off broadway fans. we consume any and all content within the heathers vicinity. west end heathers was incredible, yes orchestrations differed but honestly i cannot choose a favorite production. i felt incredibly lucky to be there. I Did miss blue, and i think it is a great shame they removed it. I say no was superfluous bUT a welcome addition (not replacement as Sam said) to the show. also fuck riverdale heathers. thanks
ive always thought heathers off broadway had more of a rock vibe to it and west end heathers felt more like a musical. like idk if this makes sense but the west end cast recording kind of sounds more like a musical whereas the original off broadway recording sounds more like a rock concert
@@ErikDijk i agree! Also i definetely think since the OG heathers were off Broadway and new, they had more creative freedome with sound. West end had a reputation to uphold but also had to appeal to the traditional musicality of West End shows
The reason I like Heathers is because as a junior in America I can relate so deaply to that fear. The song 17 and 17 reprise speak to me because its easy to forget you're still a kid when you have to deal with all these adult problems. At the time, Heathers was almost dystopian fiction. This is an example of a time when those kinds of predictions made in media do come true. Is it sensitive sudject matter in America now? Yes. But if we always censor sensitive subject matter then we can never process and relate to these things.
Hi Sam & Ryan! Just wanted to say that I saw Ryan in Heathers when I first moved to NYC and it was and still is my favorite Broadway/off Broadway experience I've ever had (and I saw Hamilton with the original cast). I'm not a listens to musical soundtracks type of person, but I will still go back and watch/listen to this show and get full on chills. Such a brilliant production
Heathers came to Australia and it was basically the same as the off Broadway version except dead girl walking was raunchier. Also their vocals were absolutely amazing!!
imo, I think I say no is a great song, and also, I think you're welcome takes the situation much more seriously than blue, and convays the story better.
All my answers: 1- MUSICAL! 100% I love the movie but the music and plot difference sell it for me. Which I’ll get into in a sec. 2-Chandler, is there even a competition? 3-MUSICAL! In the movie JD is just a sociopath. That’s pretty much it. In the musical he seems to GENUINELY love Veronica but the movie seems much less significant on that matter. 4-Original for 2 main reasons: Barrett Wilbert Weed and Ryan McCartan 5-I love that JD is named after Winonas favorite Author lol 6-Again, Musical. I LOVE seeing her character development. My biggest problem with the movie was that we didn’t seen her join the heathers. 7- as far as the story just in general, not specifically the movie or musical I agree that it’s the tropes. The three popular girls, the outcast, the love interest, and the best friend(s) Love u guys 😍
Correction: BLUE was replaced by you're welcome not by I say no. I say no is more like an addition to actually further explain what veronica is feeling when she decide to actually call it quits with JD. Love this video tho

After Heathers closed Off-Broadway, the show was quickly made available for licensing in the US (and some other territories).
Thanks for this info!!

Concerning West End Heathers:
I discovered Heathers via the Off-broadway album but went to see it in London as it‘s closer to me.
Very well said!
School is just gonna be like this now... oops?
Heathers:
America:
And heather chandler, she is a mythic soup.
LMAO YES
This is just my opinion but your welcome the song that replaced blue for me shows how like for lack of a better term scarier kurt and ram can be instead of like the comedic song about date rape so i feel like in that aspect i liked the west end version a little more.
i completely agree
Agreed!
Same
I agree - I love Blue as a tune but I get why they changed it - it's not that it was "offensive", it's that it was played for laughs and it was successful in that. That's almost the opposite I guess - that it *should* be offensive but people laughed along
Agreed
I'm laughing my ass off at
"she's a mythic... Soup"
omg i NEED to know your thoughts on riverdale's musical episodes lol
I used to go to this theatre and we actually had not 1 girl named heather, not 2 girls named heather, we had ALL 3! And the funniest thing is that none of them got along and all lowkey hated each other.
4:50 Ryan’s little:
Hehehe
Was adorable!!!
Btw the replaced BLUE with YOURE WELCOME and also added I say no I say no happens a little later on in the musical
^^^
My facts for the movie:
You mentioned the ‘brain tumor for breakfast’ line?

That is also why I love the musical version more. I’m 12.
I’ve been waiting for this one.....
TURN IT UP
I honestly wish we could just have both "Blue" and "I Say No" in the same show. Maybe it's that I love Carrie Hope Fletcher's song just so much, but I feel like they both add something to the show.
To this day Meant to be Yours is my favourite orchestrated musical theatre number
Anyone else think Heathers UK is way darker than off-Broadway Heathers?? I’ve seen both (one slime tutorial and one live ) and the UK version especially Jamie Muscato was just chilling.
i like to think each of the heathers's colours represent their hogwarts house
It kind of does tbh Veronica is a Ravenclaw Chandler is a Gryffindor Mac is defo a Hufflepuff and Duke is such a Slytherin JD is also
omg jd is a death eater lmfao
@@ErikDijk omfg so true
@Someone 333 oooo thats an interesting theory! i hadnt thought about it that way
me who thought the colors were because they were cosplaying as stoplights: 👁️👄👁️
Can we please talk about Jamie Muscato’s JD? Because it’s um... it’s incredible.
I love Jamie's JD. He did an amazing job!
OMG YESSS 😁
I will spend my Valentine's Day rewatching Sam and Ryan's videos all day. Who's with me?
I’m with u same I don’t like Valentine’s Day but this one will be the best
Cuz of them
Same
Yeah you get me and the girl who did this
Can u reply to the comments I made
They replaced “Blue” with “Your Welcome” and I love both
On the morning of Valentine’s Day I’m watching Sam and Ryan talk about love and murder
You're Welcome,
I listened to Blue for the first time when I was probably about 11, so naturally it made me a little uncomfortable.
Now i kinda like the tone of it and it’s catchy
i like LOVE JD in the Musical Periodt. The emotion the darkness everything is like a rollercoaster, especially in "Meant to be yours"!
meant to be yours is so utterly terrifying and i love it
I really appreciated the conversation about school violence and how that plays in the current US culture
They replaced blue with your welcome, which is a different version for Kurt & Ram to sing.

“Thoughts on the west end heathers”
Best thing ever, I’m not even exaggerating when I tell you I listen to it daily. Also blue was replaced with you’re welcome xx
I also listen to it every freaking day. Sam and Ryan should listen to all the songs in order.
@@kuramacabre YES!! i would love for ryan to react to jamie muscato’s and carrie hope fletcher’s vocals and their performances (ESPECIALLY jamie’s as he made so many good changes to jd as in he really brung out the trauma that jd has from seeing his mother die and that…odd thing with bud dead he has goin on.) idk if u cant tell but i am a very big fan of west end heathers LMAO
@@ruetistic Jamie made JD more human and charismatic. Both Ryan and Jamie made me actually like JD (Christian Slater is amaing but the character is terrifying).
Ryan doing a Candy Store cover would be the best thing since Dead Girl Walking at pronoun showdown
FRRR
yes omg
and you know you know you knooooooww it’s ‘cause I’m beautiful-
blue was my 7th most listened to song of 2020 on spotify wrapped. you could say it has a special place in my heart
Sam: JD’s songs are to DIE for.
JD: **slowly raising a gun** really?
10:00 to 15:00 (West End Heathers) You got a point with Blue being important, but what you got wrong was I say No Came as a song to furthen Veronicas Character She gave JD a Chance in Our love is god and Seventeen but now she says No. What actually replaced Blue was You're welcome, which keeps the youth language from Kurt and Ram and the controversity but mixes it with Veronicas Helplessness.
A subjectiv opinion: I feel like Blue drags a bit after the minute 2.
I’ve been waiting for this I also made a Heathers animatic btw Blue was replaced by youre welcome I say no was Veronica and JD
It was painting me how they messed up "I say no" with "Your Welcome"
Side note: blue was replaced with you're welcome, which was also more empowering for Veronica but still sung by Kurt and ram
I have no real opinion because I like you're welcome better but (and I guess I'd be a hypocrite not to count this as more important so I guess I'm against removing it) blue fits better there
I say no was a separately added song (which, musically, I absolutely love, but I won't go into that rn unless anyone wants me to)
They also added a song for Heather duke which, just as a concept, I hate for so many reasons (which I also won't go into unless someone wants me to)
My favorite trivia: JD had Schizophrenia
Also, it was said by Christian Slater himself that JD didn't actually die, but lived
WAIT REALLY?
@@gurrr8020 Yup
O.M.G... I Didn't Know this
There’s literally no other answer to the “who’s your favorite Heather” question. The only right answer is Chandler, enough said
Heather. McNamara.
Heathers added your welcome - which is their version of blue, same context just more raw. They also added i say no, and never shut up again- Heather dukes song
finally some Heathers recognition... on behalf of all of us THANKYOU
Could you guys do a Rocky Horror fan vs actor. I would watch that soup so fast.
I'm so sad that I'll probably never get the chance to perform in heathers as Veronica it would literally be my dream
Someone already said it deeper in the comments but ‘blue’ was actually replaced by ‘you’re welcome’ which is similar to ‘blue’ but it puts a slightly more realistic look on it, making it a little heavier than blue. ‘I say no’ tho was Veronica cutting ties from JD and describing what it’s like being with him and realizing he’s making all these promises ab changing but he’s never going to actually fulfill them
blue was replaced by a song called you’re welcome and blue reprise was replaced by a song called never shut up again :). i say no was a song that happened right before kindergarten boyfriend at the end of act two and it was a song where veronica stood up to jd
thank you both for working so hard each week to make content for us!! we all love you sm! 💘
I just noticed that Betty Finn wasn't in the musical at all
I Say No is Veronica’s break-up song with JD.
This discussion was really beautiful. Both Sam and Ryan are so articulate and thoughtful about this. I really enjoyed this. Thanks!
this man put west end heathers and riverdale heathers in the same sentence, please :(
Edit: ryan i dont think you understand how much heather fans appreciate heathers the musical as a whole. there is no separation between westend and off broadway fans. we consume any and all content within the heathers vicinity.
west end heathers was incredible, yes orchestrations differed but honestly i cannot choose a favorite production. i felt incredibly lucky to be there.
West end had a reputation to uphold but also had to appeal to the traditional musicality of West End shows
For me the riverdale heathers episode is what got me into musicals and into heathers so I'm kinda thankful for it's existence
@@allthingsfandoms6833 thats great! Anything that gets people into musicals is appreciated :3

Blue was replaced with a song called your welcome which is along the lines as blue
5 minutes of them yammering about the west end production based on a souping mistake! Priceless
Such a brilliant production
thanks for this!
i´m training rn to a performance as JD, this helped me stress less and think that it will be fun!
“WELL SOUP ME GENTLY WITH A CHAINSAW” 💀💀💀💀
Heathers came to Australia and it was basically the same as the off Broadway version except dead girl walking was raunchier. Also their vocals were absolutely amazing!!
1) McNamara is my favourite Heather in the movie and the musical.. she's just so sweet
2) not Sam mentioning "slime tutorials" ahahaha
"She's a mythic soup" I can't😂 5:06
so it's literally 12.20 am and i have to sleep but i'm still watching this...okay...here we go...
I wish they could have remembered that the song that replaced Blue was You’re welcome, not I Say No. I’d love to see a sort of proper comparison.
im going to watch heathers West End on Saturday!!! super excited
imo, I think I say no is a great song, and also, I think you're welcome takes the situation much more seriously than blue, and convays the story better.
All my answers:
1- MUSICAL!
4-Original for 2 main reasons: Barrett Wilbert Weed and Ryan McCartan
5-I love that JD is named after Winonas favorite Author lol
6-Again, Musical. I LOVE seeing her character development. My biggest problem with the movie was that we didn’t seen her join the heathers.
7- as far as the story just in general, not specifically the movie or musical I agree that it’s the tropes. The three popular girls, the outcast, the love interest, and the best friend(s)
Love u guys 😍
I was waiting for thissssss
This channel makes me smile and makes me so happy. Haven’t felt that way in a while. They are just the best
To be fair if you try to do "safe heathers" you end up with Mean Girls 😂
Correction: BLUE was replaced by you're welcome not by I say no. I say no is more like an addition to actually further explain what veronica is feeling when she decide to actually call it quits with JD.
Love this video tho
Wasn’t mean girls based on the heathers movie, so technically one movie brought us 2 musicals and 1 movie
omg its so cute how hes acting so humble and shy saying that he was the first actor to play jd in heathers hte musical
fun fact yellow tends to mean happiness, but can also have a deeper meaning of anxiety and worry, like the happiness is a mask for that, which is essentially Heather MacNamara
Just saying, I like both the Off-Broadway and West End productions, almost entirely because West End kinda gave us You're Welcome (which replaced Blue) which is one of my favorite songs so.....
I was in a production of heathers that was cancelled due to a school shooting in our city/neighborhood and I have to agree that I can't see heathers now being on broadway in the U.S.. That being said, I love heathers, the conversation it causes, and the iconic story.
You guys make me so happy, I’m so thankful
8:55 same. IDK how I feel about the musical in the 2010's and beyond.
