I like how there's a talking bear standing in the train station and the husband's first thought is, "He's probably selling something."
My thoughts exactly. Children's literature is a weird place...
Typical British response.
in smaller cities people don't bother strangers that much but in big ones you'll be approached by people doing strange things just to get your attention to get you signed up for some charities, trying to sell you drugs and if you're a girl then additionally just guys. This dad's reaction is totally natural but what makes it funny for me is I'd say the same even if I'd meet levitating talking dishwasher on my way to work
Yeah absolutely. I‘m no different in that regard. I also tend to ignore people who approach me in the city most of the time. I hate that I do it but you sort of have to.
I just really don’t like mega cities. Everything is so impersonal and stressful.
@@sebastiang7394 oxford street in london is filled with people like that and they don't leave you alone ( bit of a culture shock compared to where I'm from were for a lack of a better word the beggers don't really go up to you)
I just pretend I can't speak english
I just realized that the lights at the Lost & Found sign don't work correctly until Mrs. Brown talks to Paddington (1:02). First only the word Lost is illuminated and after Mrs. Brown's appearance the word Found, too. I love such details.
I've seen the movie about 4 times and just noticed that on this view of the clip.
+Franziska
This is how you know that the people making the movie really cared about it. The little details make all the difference.
Took me 4 years to realize that

I love how cartoony this is despite being live action. There’s a whole bear just standing in the station and everyone just walks past like it’s a regular day in London
I love Sally Hawkins. She brings such a wonderful warmth to every role she plays!
She does?
@@thomasspongeconductor2222 yes
@@GutsTheGhost Who knew?
@@thomasspongeconductor2222 well yes, she's one of the most likeable British actress ever. Every time you see her in movies and interviews there's automatically a charm coming from her
@@15Candles
She has such a nice voice.
Also, one of my friends told me that Bill Nighy has a very soothing voice, is that true?
The way “Found” lights up never fails to make me happy.
It honestly makes tear up
Mrs. Brown walking up to Paddington and they start talking is such a sweet moment.
Codetski Jaigobin I agree. So heartwarming. From Virginia Clark. ☺
Coming down in stair rods, isn't it!
I cry everytime watching it
Are u alive
When Sally Hawkins starts talking to Paddington, the "found" sign lit up. That's brilliant.
Thank you the notice! Lovely point
Too much of an underrated film, very heartwarming
Always do the hard way
Agreed, although I think the 1970s animated series is better
Love the fact its the mom who approaches him first maternal instincts probably kicked in when she saw him and recognized he was a child
I see Paddington as a kid too but it’s weird that the second film sent him to an adult human prison!
sally hawkins imbues warmth like no other, love this dearly
mrs brown is so kind
Yes, she is.
Sally Hawkins and her interspecies love strikes again.
m I o . o I m Paddington was out before The Shape of Water.
The Shape of Water is set in the 60s. CHECKMATE, brah! :D
She *was* talking about swimming naked around 0:20...
In the sequel we see her practising for her role in "Shape of water"
Imagine if she does the same in the next Godzilla movie...
This movie is perfect ❤️
Paddington reminds me of Staurt Little. A talking Animals adopted by a Human Family. 🌈 Virginia.
Ok
I saw this today. This was the sweetest film I have ever watched this year. At first I didn't want to watch this because I thought it would be one of those films that would have toilet humour and adult jokes like Scooby-Doo and The Cat in the Hat. Movies like them are exactly why films like Paddington are getting such a bad reputation: It sets you up into thinking it's the same when it isn't.
I love this film so much and Paddington is so adorable.
+Fox Teen
Not only is the first Paddington movie distilled sweetness and charm, but the sequel is equally adorable and lovely. Have you seen that yet?
@@smaakjeks Sorry it has been two years. I had no notification. I did - it was so sweet.
@@foxteen8721 No worries! Glad you liked it
@@foxteen8721 Replied after 6yrs? Legend you are Fox
I'm writing a 40 page essay over this scene for a film expression class, and the amount of subtext here is insane. This movie is a fucking masterpiece.
As a Peruvian in Europe I can only be fascinated at how fast Paddington integrates into the British society!
Well kids tend to integrate fast.
Ben Whishaw is just SOO FREAKING ADORABLE AND CUTE as paddington OMGGG
Yess I love Ben whishaw
I'd take Paddington in any time.
"I didn't even know bears could talk"
....never has that phrased been uttered so casually in the tongues of man, elvish, or dwarvish
i absolutely love how when paddington is sitting alone under the lost and found sign only the lost part is lit but when mary goes over to him the found lights up.. so brilliant
oh ben whishaw your voice will never not be recognizable
Paddington is the cutest creature ever
0:18 foreshadows Mrs. Brown wanting to be a more experienced swimmer in Paddington 2. Love that detail and this movie so much.
I admit I cried like a bitch when she walked up to Paddington when he's all depressed looking.
Quiet One you cried. Haha, oh you ain't seen nothing yet. Just wait until you see the second film.
Paddington 1 and 2 the most charming films. 💕💓
Wish Paddington came into my life. Yes he get clumsy, but he's so nice & cute
If we had more Paddingtons, the world would be a happier place.
hi there :D
Imagine if all animals could actually talk. How crazy would that be, everyone would probably be a vegetarian I guess.
When Mary says, 'Hello there,' expressed with concern through every pore in her face I damn near welled up 10 minutes into the film. There's something about how genuine she comes across, as well as Hawkins' acting chops, that makes this such a heartfelt moment. I was hooked from that point. Super film.
I LOVE SALLY HAWKINS. She is the perfect Mrs. Brown
I love the way the dad gives the mom such a stern look and says "not at all"
Mrs Brown is so nice and friendly to Paddington
Ms. Brown is my favorite character by far in this franchise. No doubt about it in my book.
I just seen Paddington, and I will tell you it is very funny and heart-warming! Please, please go see it!
Such a coincidence this film was released during the rise of the Syrian refugee crisis, especially with it's simple message about helping those in need and learning to embrace others who are different out of the goodness of one's heart. Funny how sometimes it takes a children's film to remind people of their humanity.
Woah! Really? That's crazy!
Harvey Weinstein Ejaculated On why women?
Have you seen Germany and Sweden
For those who don't know already the label around the neck is what happened to child evacuees from London and the major cities in the UK in 1940 when the german bombing was about to start. The author also made a very good point of including the character of Mr Gruber who was also a refugee from oppression in Germany (it is never stated that he is Jewish but I think we can all figure that out).
Weirdest thing is that all the people in the movie just don't mind a talking bear.
WowGreatJob I wouldn't mind.
WowGreatJob I wouldn't either. Besides, I see this in a similar passion to Stuart Little how everyone is cool with talking to a mouse.
ahem winnie the pooh is a talking bear
I like 👍 How much of a lot of polite attitude Paddington has that’s what the World 🌎 always needs a person with a kind heart ❤️
Beautiful scene and Beautiful movie
,,Good evening"
I quite love this, a simple charming idea for a story and main character, the feel reminds me a little of the movie Babe, it drips with personality. I must see this, I hope they stay true to the feel and not botch it up with trends to make it "hip"
Your right on mate! I just saw it, and it is very much as heart-warming and charming as Babe! Well said!
+no hassle
Yes to all this. But, did you know James Cromwell (farmer Arthur Hoggett) became a vegetarian and animal rights advocate after starring in the movie Babe? I'm not a vegetarian myself, but yet I deeply respect the character of someone who can shift their life so completely on "mere" principle.
1:27 Mary: "Well where are your parents?" Paddington: "Oh they died when I was small." Henry: "Here we go."
I love Paddington
He's a cutie patootie!
Me too
same i know this movie is like almost a decade old but is still memorable
This is a film with significant artistic merit.
I wonder what the third movie will be about I have three predictions
1. Maybe paddingtons parents are alive and they try to find them.
2. Aunt Lucy ends up living with the browns and adjusts to her new life in London.
3. The original villan from the first movie returns to seek revenge on paddington
No because paddington parents died when he was small and aunt Lucy is living in a retirement home for the last reason she was arrested
@@leedamien3374 she wasn't arrested she was given community service
@@ethanellis2474 oh ok
I think Judy is my favourite character. She is your typical moody teenager but she does warm up to Paddington and even learns to speak Bear. That's why I like her. :)
and her mother
This is such a lovely movie
I love this movie. I got the Blu-ray just today and have just been watching it again.
that scene (0:45) when i saw his disappointed face, i cried like a bitch.
So cute bear 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗🐼🐼🐼
I am madly in love with the Paddington movies and Sally Hawkins!
Good job Paddington
I love how she automatically asks the talking bear at the train station where his parents are
I loved the movie
Poor bear! At least the Brown Family finally accept him and love him. Aww! 😢🐺🐮🍏🐴.
He was sent here by his Aunt Lucy after Uncle Pastuzo was killed in an earthquake which totals their home and marmalade workshop
Every time I see Sally Hawkins now, I'm tempted to make Shape of Water references
bullwinkle524 at least she's only letting Paddington live with them and nothing too creepy.
I straight up love this woman. She was so good in The Shape of Water. She needs to be in way more films. She immediately adds credibility to any project she’s is a part of. Sally Hawkins ❤️
Made in Dagenham is great if you have not seen it. Up there with Brassed Off, Billy Elliot and Pride.
My family and I had a bear marathon back in October, and this was one of them. I liked it. 🙂
Love Paddington bear he is sooo sweet
The "found" part of the lost & found sign lit up as soon as mary talked to paddington, what an adorable detail!!
This is my favorite movie.
"I didn't know bears could talk"
Uhm, shouldn't it be more like..
"WHAT THE FLYING FUCK A TALKING BEAR?!!!"
We’re all here because of Zelenskyy voicing paddington bear 😅❤️
Hahahaha true!!
Maybe he'll give Putin a hard stare
Fun fact:
The family might of came from Downton Abbey, the way to get from London to Downton Abbey is the train from Paddington to Newbury.
And Hugh Bonville also portrayed Lord Grantham in Downtown Abbey, and also let the bear in his family. What a true gent!
I thought it wasn't going to be brilliant but, bar an unnecessary subplot and a silly chase sequence, it was utterly charming and genuinely witty; and is by no means, simply a children's film (I'm a 50 year old football supporting biker)
+hugobear
Utterly charming. I now use the term "brolly buster" thanks to this movie.
hugobear1 m
i love paddington
> Talking Bear
Probably selling something.
This scence is so heartwarming.
I'm seeing this on Sunday! I thought it would be babyish but it looks awesome! :D
I like how the Paddington films show most of the characters from the TV show. Not just Paddington & the Brown family, but also Aunt Lucy, Mrs Bird, Mr Curry & Mr Gruber. Though I don’t recall Uncle Pastuzo much.
Disclaimer: they may have came from a day to Downton Abbey, the train from London to Downton Abbey leaves from Paddington Station, and Hugh Bonneville portrayed Lord Grantham in DA. And is now inviting a bear into his royal family.
I love movie so much
I love Paddington 🥰
I grew up watching this wonder. And this film did an amazing job adapting it. Great actors specially Sally Hawkins.
The strings kicking and then Mrs Brown's quirky little shoes it all works together so well

I love this bear!
Sunday 23rd May 2021. Anyone notice how when Mary goes to Paddington the Found on Lost and Found lights up? At least the darkness is down for a bit. Anyway it was my Dad's Birthday today. His name is Henry too. From Virginia.?! :) :( ;)
The Browns met Paddington on a railway. Which is how he got an unusual name for a bear, for Paddington was the name of the station.
best film!
Pretty creative to use the lost and found as a way to symbolize his new family
I like paddington station, it's really beautiful at night like this one, I'm happy that I live on the Great Western Mainline
awww i feel so bad for paddinton
Cute
I love how Mary is kind to a Bear that she has never seen before. She's the first person to show kindness and concern for Paddington. So why is Henry so cold? Poor bear! ☺❤🐻🍯🌌.
I love padington it is lovely
I'd adopt a talking bear that's polite
I love Paddingron
I like how barely anyone questions that a bear is talking.
Awesome
I love this movie so bad 😊
"STRANGER DANGER! There's some sort of *Bear* over -->there .... Probably *selling* something ..."
Mr. Brown: "Keep your eyes down, there's some bear over there- Probably selling something."
Uh... As Bears natural do?
“Here we see the brown Perusian bear in his natural habitat, selling people stuff at Paddington Station”
Can't wait to see you here and Jesus loves you! =D

Today I’m going to the movie 🍿 🎥
