Brings back memories. We had a 1956 Eldarado Convertible in Silver with red and white interior. It had two 4 barrel carburetors. Nice ride at the Jersey Shore. :)
When i was just 14 My Uncle bought a 55 Cadillac, turned into my dream car! I just had to get one like that! six years later i had enough money and bought a 56 sedan de ville! lavender body, white top. I loved that car. It past on to rust bucket heaven. so this video brings back good memories.I think i paid 400 bucks for it. T HAT WAS BACK WHEN GAS WAS 30 CENTS A GALLEN! AND YOU MADE 50 OR 60 BUCKS A WEEK!
My grandparents had a 56 Sedan in Cuba that got left behind when they left in 1960. In pre-Castro Cuba Cadillacs of this style were called COLA DE PATO ( duck tail )
Displacement was increased to 365 cu in (6.0 L) for 1956 by increasing the bore to 4 inches. For the 3 years that the 365 was made, the base versions had a single 4 barrel carburetor. The 1956 version produced 285 horsepower.
You ask? Why was the radio antenna still be installed on the left side in the driver's viewing line? For the cars that did not have pwr antennas, the driver could reach out to adjust the ups and downs while drivering the cheaper named autos.
I noticed the Connecticut plate, I'm from Meriden. Love his '56!!
Powerful scripture, thank God for your presentation of our Lord and Savior

So a mute boy owns this car?

The 365 did not come out until 1957, unless that engine was a transplant.
that is incorrect. 55 was a 331 and they increased bore to 4" for 56.
We had a '56, it had the 365cube/ 285 hp engine. Fast! But it broke a lot.
