    "Knightmare" (Good pun with a little something extra for some Code Geass - an anime series that uses chess motifs but plays fast and loose with the actual game of chess at times - fans), "always funnier to do it with the Bishop" and "join the party" were good. There should be a compilation video of your iconic lines such as Knightmare, "pawn was delivered to a6 by DHL" and that "Collect the harvest" lines you did in previous videos.

  • @mstalcup
    @mstalcup 5 месяцев назад

    I learned a lot from this video. One trappy (maybe inferior) line at 0:45 is Nb5 instead of the usual Rb1. If black plays Qa5 to guard c7, white plays Bc4. If black allows white to play Qh5, there is not only the obvious mate threat, but also the threat of winning black's queen with a well-timed Nd6+ winning the queen with a discovered attack.

      Nb5 is just a mistake because now you have absolutely zero compensation for the pawn, you're not even in a lead of development anymore after you play Nb5 and after Qa5 and Bc4, the engine eval says -1.4. You also just shouldn't play traps in general.

Thank you for this channel my way of thinking in chess improved much much more when I switched to you. Love playing against gothamchess students now im destroying them. Nah. You wanna bring your knight to f6 instead of recapturing the pawn with your queen. White has no tricks or tempos when you play knight f6.. White will 9/10 times try to protect the pawn after that but tbh it’s a moot point. Black just sacrifices another pawn and keeps developing

      That's a terrible move, though. It blocks black's e pawn and hinders his development while giving you a chance to develop faster. Just play Be2 and you're going to castle soon and have a huge advantage. Or if he tries to go after your g2 pawn, you can just sacrifice it for faster development and maybe even trap his queen, or build up a powerful attack while black just wasted a bunch of time moving his queen around and not developing. White usually wins in around 10 - 15 moves.
