I had the MAKO 3 months ago after the first 2 docs said they wouldn’t/couldn’t do the usual knee replacement because of my deformed leg angle.. 3rd doc did not hesitate to say yes with this procedure ‘The robot does it all, and I do 6 a day’ With his confidence, I was sold…. now I’m up to ~120* and over 4 miles on the stationary bike. Most importantly, I’ve had zero pain, just a cold spot where my knee was.
Sticking with the PT program, and an ice machine are the most important things to remember.

Why can’t you do a partial on both sides instead of a complete knee replacement?

I’m having my left knee done at Hobart Private Hospital, in Tasmania,Australia next week. Good to see you were happy with the outcome. Hope I have the same experience.

@@angelawilliams4239 The recovery takes time...be patient with yourself ! Some people recover VERY quickly...a friend of mine 72 years young had his done...and 2 days later was out cutting the grass in his back garden ( I hate him lol ). The Dr's here told me it can take anything up to 18 months for full recovery...but that's not cast in stone...some people recover very quickly...others...not so much :-/ Best of luck !

I'm trying to find a local Phoenix, AZ orthopedic surgeon who specializes in partial knee replacement.
It's been very difficult, everyone I talk to only does full knee replacement. Can you provide any contact info for a surgeon in my area that specializes in partial. Thanks in advance, Regards Tony
