When I was a little girl, before my mom had my younger twin brothers, my parents accidentally left me at a gas station when I went to the restroom without telling them. Haha they didn't know they had left me until miles down the road when my brother asked where I was. I guess they didn't think they needed to do roll call with only 2 kids.
I agree, it's really great if someone passes away. It's nice to relive moments through pictures. When my daughter passed I wished I had more (even though I have a nice amount) and purposed that I'd take plenty with and of my other children and loved ones.
I’m with Solo. I like to remember and relive memories through photos and videos. At 63, I’ve forgotten a lot but when I see the photos I can experience again, especially people that have passed. That botanical garden was epic! 🥰
I love hearing your kids talk. Some have much more influence from Solo in their accent and cadence of speech pattern. It would seem they would speak more like their mom since she is likely with the children more being at home with them. You can definitely tell Solo is a very involved dad. I agree with someone about the way that Seth looks at Belle.
Ours went and are going to home school for high school graduate by 16 and then we supplement with Volunteering, CPR training, sign language, lifeguard training, diving certification and private pilots license.
The Omaha botanical garden is beautiful! I went to college in Seward, your videos really make me miss Nebraska! Love your family and how many wonderful life experiences you give to your kids.
Sarah I wanted to say you are looking well I pray you are also feeling well, you are an inspiration, more often than not smiling and positive, it reflects in your whole family. Praise be to God. Love and blessings
Allergies have been awful in Wisconsin too. Normally my son suffers in the spring/summer. This year it’s allergy medicine every day and it doesn’t last long enough. Cool garden place. It’s good thing Seth can’t reach the trains. Lol. Best kind of field trip. Thank you!
It looks like a fun field trip. When I was student teaching, many years ago, the class had a great time, returned to school and a little boy looked up at me and asked,”When do we go to the field?” Bless his heart. I wonder if there are learning resources at the garden to help guide the visitors in relation to the identification of plants?
We are members of Lauritzen Gardens in Omaha. Love the place and try to go often. We were just there last week. I would have been thrilled to run into you. Do come back to see the rest of the features; herb, rose, Japanese, vegetable, childrens and shade gardens among others.
You should bring the kids to St. Louis for a field trip! We have the zoo, the botanical garden, City Museum, Art Museum and if you come in the summer, The Muny and Cardinal baseball!! We also have Gus's pretzels, Imo's pizza, gooey butter cake, and pork steaks, etc the kids would have a great time!! Can you tell I love my home town 😊
I grew up going to the Botanical Garden in St Louis. My mother in law was a member so we went often when our boys were small. My husband and I still love going! This past spring my niece was married there. Beautiful! There’s a Botanical Garden about an hour from Kansas City, near Warrensburg, that has wonderful fountains the kids can play in.

You'll also have different perspectives of what somebody else thought was picture worthy. That's always fun
Great day trip for the family. Sorry for Belle. Maybe, if she'd like to return, she can take a friend and use those tickets? During the Fall might be better for anyone with allergies? I'm not sure! Be well.
For Nessa, take a back pack, fold up a towel and put it in the bottom of the back pack and train her to sit in the bag. A lot of places will let you in with a small dog if the dog's feet aren't on the ground. I get my elderly Chihuahua in many places as long as they don't serve food. Take care!!
I totally agree with Solo on the pictures. I don't have as many pictures as I'd like but now that the boys are grown with families of their own, I so enjoy sharing and remembering those times.

I think pictures are important. It’s fun when you are older to be able to go back and see yourself and your siblings when you were younger. It also helps you remember the day or the event.
Buckeye candy is something lots of people make at Christmas time. It looks like the Buckeye nut, which is inside your "bumpy lemony fruit". The candy is a peanut and powdered sugar ball, dipped in chocolate, all but the top part.
