    I had wondered how solar would react to the eclipse. Thanks for the demonstration.

    Pretty awesome, we just installed the same unit yesterday but didn't even think about the eclipse today. More interested in learning the basics. Your other video helped me understand the AC limiter option. Quick question, do you notice much temp deviation from actual vs set temp? Keep up the great videos.

      It depends on the day, if I have it in heat mode and it turns out to be a warm day, it will exceed the set temp by about 5 degrees before it shuts off. It does that to prevent short cycling, it's more efficient to run longer at a lower wattage than to cycle on and off several times an hour

    I am getting a eg4 1200 mini split for my garage that is off grid will 2 , 48 volt 100 amp battery last 24 to 48 hours? Thanks keep up the good work love your videos.

      It depends on the demand, I've used 13kwh in one day in heat mode before, closer to 6kwh per day for Ac. Save yourself $50 with my code SmitHVAC, thanks for watching!

    Was wondering if at times I can see the air coming out of the mini split head unit. Is that normal? Figured it may just be humidity. What's your opinion? Thanks in advance.... Jeff

      @SmitHVAC. 6 месяцев назад

      Yes in certain conditions you can see almost a fog coming out of it

      @SmitHVAC. yeah that's what it looks like. And the humidity here is 84% at the moment. So no need to be concerned? Thanks again Just concerned because it's done it a few times

      @@JWTX… living in Deep South Texas, where humidity is always getting friendly with the 90’s, I can say that YES, that is water vapor coming out the cold air vents. See it in my cars, and ESPECIALLY when I open the deep-freeze.

    Wow, such dedication.
    A once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to experience a total eclipse outside your door, and you take the time to document whether solar panels work when the sun is fully shaded.
    I don’t know whether to send you a hearty ‘atta boy’ or a hearty ‘raspberry’. 😎
    N.B. The next total eclipse visible in North America will be in twenty years.
    BTW, just how long WERE you without PV power?

      In total it was probably 45 minutes with little to no PV
