Creamy addictive tasteful sounds! Great playing. Someone has been listening to Larry Carlton etc. The thrill is gone chords are fun to jam around and you do it beautifully!
I did come back, cause this is for me the best representation of the MG30 yet found on RUclips! Plus it adds external pedals and shows what is possible!
Nice demo, Jim. Oops Helmut. It has some 'OK' sounds. It looks a bit like the Hotone Ampero at half the price. Personally, I'd rather pay double and get amazing British sounds from the Ampero. All videos on the MG-30 show that it sounds 'nice' or 'OK' but it doesn't convince me. For light fusion overdrives it might do - but not driving rock tones. The grit is missing in the sound.
Leo Gibson got some heavy tones with Soldano models - but up to you if you think they cut it or not. I had exactly the opposite question - does it do good clean to crunch? Good job with this vid though - thanks Helmut.
@@helmutshatner I'm interested in stacking overdrive pedals in the unit, can you show how would it sound? Thanks for your videos and great playing as usual!!
Great music and sound! I'm looking forward MG-30 to be available in stocks, I'll order one for sure. The setup looks nice, but what about controlling the MG-30 by a MIDI controller? Does it work with for example Behringer FCB1010 or Harley Benton MP-100?
I don´t have any MIDI controller, but think I´ve read somewhere that the controller has to be able to send MIDI to USB. (MG-30 does not have a regular MIDI-in - just the USB C)
@@helmutshatner Oh, thanks! I've just followed your instruction and see that this one is just arrived, since last month :) I will check then, thanks again!
Direct line, as it's the easiest way to record or play through a PA. If you prefer using it with an amp, 4-cable method would be the way to go. Both ways work fine with no issues at all.
Just got this Nux Mg30 used 2 days ago, amazing unit!!. Great video👍👍!! Cheers!!

I'm here for the music. The review is a bonus. Thanks
Very nice playing cool rhythm lead is awesome
Very nice playing!
Why did you use the Nux Steel Singer Stompbox instead of using the one built in the MG30?
At the time when I recorded this, the steel singer was not yet included in the firmware.
@@helmutshatner Did you ever compare the real steel singer stompbox to the one in the MG30?If you did do they sound the same?
@@jimsimmons2674 I unfortunately never compared them :-(
Well played and sounds very good!

Can you stack drive pedals within the unit? How does the expression pedal feel?
Yes stacking pedals is easy. Exp pedal feels 5 out of 10 ;-)

Hey I am still hesitating to choose between MG-30 and Boss GX-100 (or maybe Headrush....) Someone can share her/his experience? Thanks!
@@lasu7712 Maybe check out the new BOSS GX10 as well.

Unreal 👍😎
I listen metal, but your performance is very tasty)
Nice test. Can you assign 3 presets to these 3 buttons, ready to be used at the concert?
You will need to use the included NMP-2 footswitch or you could use the CTRL button to step through 3 different scenes per preset
Any comment why you used direct line instead of 4 cable method using the send and return?

Excellent guitar player.
Awesome!
Can this unit be used live?
Yes sure!
Can I run this into both of my amps for stereo? Thanks!
Sure!
👍🏻👍🏻
