But that short morning stream was actually what people need in the morning. It's short enough to be considered as a long clip. And people who usually don't have time to watch long stream (like me) can still join in. For me personally, AsaCoco was the reason of why I'm still here now. Around that time, I was in my darkest moment. Problems came daily and I felt so tired of life. But this 20 minutes stream that I just curiously click after her debut keep making my day a tiny bit brighter. Her "okite okite okite!" raised my spirit in the morning. Her silly news made me genunely laughed even tho I was so depressed. I questioned life everyday, but there was this certain time in a day where I could stop and think "Oh, it's AsaCoco time!" Now... Well, I can't say that I'm healed yet. My depression and anxiety is still here. But at least it's not as bad as in my dark days. I can't imagine what would happen to me if Coco graduated during that time...

Coco was ahead of the curve in a lot of ways, she was so ahead of the curve that she did get held back at certain points because quite literally they weren't ready yet, But as she said without her holo wouldn't be as big, because quite literally she brought a lot of eyes to the English-speaking side of it because she could and she did.

They scatter and found someone else when she left which is how these western vtubers managed to get a jumpstart on their career. With her second persona, she's doing pretty well, she got into a yakuza game which was one of her main goal she doesn't even need to be successful as she probably already made enough to retire.

I think reminders like this are very important to newer Hololive watchers. Without Coco and Haachama, there wouldn’t be Myth or EN for that matter. They showed the company that English-speaking countries were a massive untapped demographic. They struck gold in ID, and EN was a natural expansion. Coco and Haachama proved it. I mean look at Mococo’s tribute to Asacoco during Coco’s anniversary. Hell, Calli cited Coco as an influence to her joining Holo.
That's why I'm glad we're finally past the two solid years of the English fanbase censoring nearly every mention of Coco's name as a joke. Coco spent a month prior to her graduation saying she didn't want people doing that to her.

I know exactly what you mean. Her streams just felt different. She had such a peculiar humor about her that literally no other vtuber has matched since. The restrictions she faced as Coco made her produce some of the greatest moments in vtuber history. It’s such a shame that now that she has the freedom she wanted, she’s become just another twitch streamer, which is as uninspired and unremarkable as you can get as a content creator.

Kaichou was a bridge to Hololive shores, but I think most of us got here thanks to the clippers. They were there for us before Coco's debut and Myth, and their translations connected us. They still play a big role in this community.

I know that many will say that Coco attracted a lot of audience and connection on both the eastern and western sides, but Coco had not contributed enough other things to the vtuber community, on the western side, vtubers arrived that are attracting audiences even to the mainstream, like Dokibird and her Westletuber, Filian and her Vtuber Awards and Shylily and her TCG vtuber edition.
