You are the second person to notice the Dares Wear!!! It is a goal I set for myself if we can achieve 10k. I want to test them out before selling it to anyone! Thanks for watching.
Unless I'm missing something it appears one additional correction is needed to improve efficiency - the left hand exchanger is correct in heated water from Espar entering exchanger at bottom and flowing up, completely filling it. However, the water enters RH exchanger at top and 'falls' through, never completely filling exchanger.
Your way of being open and honest is a big reason you have loyal subscribers keep it happening it’s refreshing to have good narration combined with knowledge and humour 🚐
Sounds like a good combination! Where can I meet this person you talk about? If they had a RUclips I would subscribe to them! Thank you soo much for watching and commenting!
Congratulations on the great support that you are receiving from your van build partners Jeff !! I always knew that great things were in your destiny !
2500- you are already even more- totally deserve it- said so from my first comments. You are 100% correct - it is how you accept and fix your mistakes that truly makes a difference
I built a whole travel trailer from a sheet of paper, it took seven years: sooooooo many mistakes! I feel so much more competent after such project, I had to learn everything, buying tools, going to the RUclips University for how to handle them, discovering the Kreg Jig, and recently the canadian made Dowelmax. The most important thing, is to slowly trust our own capacities more and more everyday to do things without loosing fingers or scrapping raw material, doing mistakes but correcting them so they won't show and the item produced working. I will follow your progress on RUclips with great interest!
Awesome thank you for the great response.. A trailer from a piece of paper? how did you waterproof that? JK. Thank you soo much for tuning in and watching, glad you enjoyed!
Thank you Jeff for uploading the correct way to install the heater pump! The heater install is the next project in my van build. I am just waiting for you to finish installing all the components of the espar heater so that I can easily install in my van too. Thank you for not giving up in uploading the videos even with so many challenges you had while working in your van. I now repeat and quote your words to my friends that what is important is "owing up to your mistakes and fixing it"! I am very happy for your success in getting so many subscribers. I am anxiously looking forward to your next video!
This is great, so happy it is helping. hopefully this coming Sunday we will have the next step on this heater complete.. Pray the new parts arrive!! Thanks again for watching and commenting!
Love your channel. Your correct on the rest needed in the hot tub. That's why I put a 5 person hot tub on my rv build. Yup it's heated by my diesel heater.😎
Perfect, thank you. A hot tub with your RV? That is a lot of weight in water to be carrying around. How do you manage that? Hot tub is the item I will miss most as we move forward to the next stage of this channel.
@@DaresDrives I built my rv on a stretched volvo 780 chassis. I have 2 125 gallon tanks for the hot tub. Flip a switch and it's full in 10 minutes. 100 gallons of fresh water for the rv. To be sitting in your hot tub in the middle of the woods in Colorado or at glamis sand dunes is quite epic.😎
Hi Jeff, I am reaching out from the Netherlands. I have lived in Amsterdam for about 11 years. This van build has build business has almost become an obsession. The videos you create and post are really helpful. Have you finished your Sprinter yet? If so, can you share some pictures. Just one other question, was the material cost over 20k. Hope all is well with you.
It’s awesome seeing you get excited about the 2500 subscribers. Watching this 9 months after you posted seeing that you are over 8k is sweet. You are a great creator. Great personality combined with informative content. Looking forward to binging on your videos. Wishing you well & a lot more subscribers.
Hi Jeff, really sorry if I missed it in the video, but why do you have a separate pump in the closed coolant loop? I thought the Eberspacher Hydronic heaters had their own pumps?
Your video's are great man. Your natural enthousiasm and time you put into editing and stuff really pays off. Thanks for showing everything in detail, very useful.
At this point I bet I could make a 1hr blooper reel and not repeat anything.. A lot of footage sitting on the cutting room floor.. Thank you for your support from the beginning..
So I bought a Rixxen system based on this video series. I've been patiently waiting for these last two videos which have been a tremendous help in me getting started. Are you getting some newer system that is more Bluetooth based and doesn't require as many wires? Did they maybe upgrade the existing system? DM me if so! Love your videos but now I'm worried about installing the system if I can maybe just send some of these components back and upgrade to whatever they've recently come out with.
Congratulations on 2.5k subscribers. A lot of stuff going on in that van, you was going make a mistake you are only human, and this is getting very exciting😁. I think you need more merchandise your DD stuff looking good 👍
Thank you very much, it is so true and I want to share the mistakes for that exact reason.. You noticed the Dares wear?! Just testing some designs out right now. My goal is if I can hit 10k, I will have some tested merchandise ready for our PEEPS! Thanks for watching and commenting.
Really enjoyed your videos, binge watched them all last night! I wasn't overly productive at work today! Id love to know how many man hours you've put into this project to date and a running cost so far also. I think you've done everything I would of done and more. I didn't even know about the diesel fuelled water heater and heating system like the one you've bought, although its an eye watering price!. Still negates the need for gas which I like. Looking forward to the rest of the series, subscribed, well done. Great work.
Ahh, work is over rated anyways.. Van build is where the priorities should be.. LOL... Man hours and cost will be something I will discuss once finished and I can bring all that information together.. But as a forewarning it is double what was expected on both avenues!!!! Yes the heater is expensive but it is super compact, eliminates the need for propane or high amperage from competing units and there is no combustion inside the van so completely eliminates the issue of gas poisoning or explosion.... Thanks for watching and commenting.
Great video story telling @dares. There are no mistakes, keep improving and keep up the great work. That was a very well timed phone call indeed. Is that pump rated to handle the high temp of the glycol?
Excellent, glad the videos are providing value.. No I am not going with heated floors for a few different reasons.. To be discussed more at a later date! Thanks for watching.
I'm so curious as to what the update is because I just bought a ride heating system last week and they didn't tell me about any updates to the system 🤔.
Yes but the aluminum tank needs somewhere to vent and has a vent port at the cap.. Needed to run it somewhere or it would drip occasionally on the floor.
NAH, that will not be an issue. Pumps are fine to mounted between hoses without having any issues. That 3/4 hose is very rigid and nothing can move at all... Thank you for watching and commenting!
What is the reason for putting the reducer closer to the tee vs further down the line? Also, 2.5k subscribers will turn to 25k subscribers very soon once people find your content!
Manufacturer was concerned the pump may not be strong enough to pull to fuel through the larger line.. Nobody was positive that it would be a problem, but figured change it now so I don't have to think about it later.. Thank you for watching and commenting.
@@DaresDrives Ah interesting. So let's take another scenario where you've got a water pump. In my case a 3gpm 12v pump pushing water through a 3/8 inch hose then reducing to 1/4 inch. Do we put the reducer close to the pump or closer to the faucet? Let's say the distance for the water to travel is 20 feet.
I subscribed and watched a few vids before I just could not take anymore rambling randomness and jumping all over the place.
