I HIGHLY doubt it. He thought he was gonna catch her doing something because he's probably the one doing everything. Of course her reaction is gonna be a little awkward because she thought he didn't want to come, not because she didnt want him there. Mr. Montgomery came across as a deeply insecure, self-involved, jealous man. I wouldn't be surprised at all if his insecurities stem from him cheating either in this relationship or the last. He seemed to be in a rush to pass judgement on Ms. Hawkes for many things, including her wearing t-shirts that show a little bit of cleavage, or shorts that show her thighs, meanwhile, he's selling photos of himself basically naked. He thinks that because he's a model (who apparently hasn't ever earned money from said modelling), that he gets to walk around shirtless, yet if she dares to smile and laugh at a comment a male customer made she's the worst person alive and she's clearly cheating on him. He needs to get a grip. Also, who in their right mind thinks buying a snake when your partner has suggested adopting a puppy together is a good idea? It was her apartment with her name on the lease, yet his excuse was "I didn't want to have to pay the deposit for having an animal", he wasn't even paying rent! It would have been Ms. Hawkes who paid it should they have adopted a dog.

The average to high end bartenders make around $30,000-$50,000, that's not good money. But to black people that's great money because most are not use to having that much.
