  • Step into the murky world of Australian politics as we delve deep into the explosive corruption scandal that rocked the New South Wales (NSW) Labor Right faction. In this video, we uncover the insidious dealings of Eddie Obeid and Joe Tripodi, two prominent figures who abused their power for personal gain, and the courageous politician, Nathan Rees, who dared to challenge their stranglehold on power.
We shed light on the intricate web of corruption woven by Obeid and Tripodi. They used their positions within the NSW Labor Right faction to manipulate decisions, bend rules, and secure lucrative business deals that lined their own pockets. From clandestine meetings to backroom deals, the extent of their corruption will shock you.
But amidst the darkness, a beacon of hope emerged in the form of Nathan Rees, a principled politician determined to expose the rot within his party. Rees, a former Premier of NSW, fearlessly took on the formidable duo, shining a spotlight on their corrupt practices and challenging their stranglehold on power.
Witness the dramatic political battle that ensued as Rees fought against the odds, facing intimidation, threats, and isolation from his own party. Through archival footage and insider accounts, we chronicle Rees' uphill battle to restore integrity and transparency in NSW politics.
This video not only offers an in-depth examination of the corruption scandal that shook the foundations of the NSW Labor Right faction but also serves as a reminder of the importance of accountability and the resilience of those who refuse to bow to political pressure.
Prepare to be captivated as we unveil the complex network of corruption, the dramatic confrontation, and the subsequent fallout that reverberated through the political landscape. Join us on this compelling journey as we expose the dark underbelly of power and the unwavering courage of those who dare to challenge it.
Don't miss this gripping exposé that will leave you questioning the very foundations of democracy. Unmask the truth, challenge the corrupt, and discover the power of one person's fight for justice.

Nice story but you might look into Ian Mcdonald a little more and what recently happened in Hawkesnest/Tea Gardens regarding obede and the way he illegally obtained aboriginal land that he is trying to build a resort on, no mention of aldi bags of money from chinese government companies and the NSW Labor party head office while kk was the leader, interesting how she now resides on Scotland Island after federal labour tried to slide her into a safe seat that Di Lee won mainly because of the appalling way they did it, ever wonder what kk has on others in the labor party, could throw Sam dastary in the mix as well considering his involvement with chinese government companies who are involved in development and construction,by the way Di Lee is a brilliant member of federal government.
Have you thought about Neville wran and the Kings cross development scandal that saw Juanita Nielsen disappear.

NSW politics has always been such a hotbed of corruption and self dealing from both the left and right. Id love to see one of these videos about the Tasmanian scandal where an MP was offered money to cross the floor and prevent a Green Labor coalition. It involved, directly or otherwise, the former premier Robin Gray who was so popular that under the unusual quota based Hare Clark system would drag at least two other candidates over the line with his personal vote. The whole affair was very sleazy and would make a great video.

I met Tripodi a couple of times when representing the Fairfield Teachers Association. At our 1st meeting he stated that he was an economic "dry" and wouldn't support a pay rise for teachers. It was clear he had no interest in meeting with us, he was dismissive and the meeting was very, very brief. the interactions of Tripodi & the Cabramatta MP Reba Meaghre was always interesting. She was a parachute job and did next to nothing for the electorate...they had that in common. ALP meetings in the area were uniformly useless. The motions carried at local meetings weren't forward to the SEC or FEC. ALL local members, Tripodi, Meagre & Scully, turned a blind eye to racism, cronyism and deliberate obstruction in the meetings. This was Labor with Obeid & Tripodi in power. Oh & Newman's murderer was still free & very powerful in the area as well.

@MrMitchellHistory I'll pay that one! And I get your loyalty to the party, but the Eddie obied thing really was bad, and perhaps Labor needed a decade in the wilderness for that.
Trouble is that when the libs were faced with the same thing they chucked up a candidate (possibly the only one) with integrity- mike Baird. What do you think he would do if he saw something morally reprehensible? Try to get rid of it!
Full disclosure, Mike was a childhood friend of mine (haven't seen him for years so it doesn't affect my opinion on politics), so I would have liked to see him fall on his sword the same way Reece did. In my partisan opinion, Baird did ok but I was sad he didn't hold a press conference to the tune of "I'm resigning because these people are blocking me from acting with integrity"
