As sad as I feel for Shannon passing, and only wanting to watch the first 3 seasons, Paige was such a good witch, and wound up being a very powerful one as well, and I can’t even see the show without her either, wish the 4 of them could’ve come together 😭😭
This is so sad. Cole deserved so much better. Cole and Phoebe were ruined. Phoebe has the more blame. He wen't after her in the bedroom,he wanted to tell her something. He had a plan. Tragic end. Cole had a batter vanquish than the source if you ask me, his was more dramatic, and hurt a little more as the viewers had already built a relationship with him. I remember watching this live in 2005, like they’re going to bring him back, they’re just playing with our heads like always, then we found out the actor actually moved onto Nip tuck haha. The only thing about Cole vanquish Is it’s almost like we never heard of him again as far as the writing goes, I mean they mentioned him in the episode with the poltergeist taking over the house but you would think someone with as much presence would at least get a mourning episode
Oh henny they’d practically been mourning Cole simultaneously with his slow descent into full crazy up to this episode. I think the afterfocus on new life- aka Wyatt- was a natural shift after Cole’s final demise.

Don't get me wrong the ending when Phoebe was told that the elders send Cupid to her for all the heartache she went through over the years was perfect to me. But if only they kept cole human I think things would have been different and better don't y'all think cuz in a way Phoebe and Cole were actual soulmates that we came to know and love through a lot of seasons
I get that they had to write out Cole because Julian was doing otehr stuff but I wish the storyline had been different, espescially because he stuck around and it seemed like they didn't know what to do with him. I would have done it as Cole gets made into the source by the seer. He wrestles with it but it changes when they get to the part where old Phoebe dies. Cole tells phoebe that he's the source. the weddng's off as they try to find a way to banish the sources soul from his body,. The 'cure" they find is that Cole's intense love for Phoebe is the only ting keeping him at bay so they work together to take out the sources main team(seer and high level demons) so Cole can take his throne. they marry and have a tearful goodbye as Cole tells phoebe he'll see her in hell. literally, because he's promising her a throne when she dies. I think that sets up a lot more story arcs for Phoebe going forward and makes sure Cole can complete his storyline without the mess it became.
The script writers destroyed both Cole and Phoebe‘s character. Julian left to do other shows, they couldn’t do a redemption story and get back into the charmed ones especially Phoebe good grace with their forgiveness?!! Phoebe became a *definite* bitter ex-wife. Emphasis on definite. She pushed him back to evil, one bitterful hateful day at a time. 2 episodes later, she’s still blaming him, as if she wishes she never met him…HIM. The past good he did means nothing. Phoebe wanted him to be evil again, so she could vanquish him herself and got her wish. P.S. The ep after the Sandman, Phoebe’s character started to grow and we started to like her again.
Even Alyssa Milano, wants Phoebe to be Cole because he was her ultimate bad boy and the love of her life. I wished Cole should have explained in more details, that he didn’t mean to hurt Phoebe and the Charmed Ones when he was possessed by the Source, and how difficult it was for him fight an evil spirit that was controlling his body and mind. Phoebe has every right to be disappointed and distrust Cole, because a part of her felt guilty and somewhat stupid for not trusting and believing Paige when she saw and sensed Cole’s peculiar behavioral changes and using dark magic( under the influence of the Source) . The sisters have been possessed plenty of times, where they should’ve understood and remembered their experiences. Cole wasn’t even angry and revengeful, when he spoke to Phoebe in the Wasteland because he told her he understood why she had to vanquished the Source’s essence. Also, Cole was relieved that he was no longer under control of the Source’s powers either. The writers should’ve done a better job, writing consistent storylines and redemption development progress for Cole; instead he went back to the dark side which gave supporters of Phole such false hope for their relationship to be endgame.

I feel like Cole left the show way too early. Like I understand the actor leaving to do other work if that’s the case. (Obviously I don’t know or care to look into). But in my opinion, I feel like Cole should have been the Final Battle in the series finale. Instead of Billie and Christy. Am I weird for thinking that?
Episodes like this are always interesting. It's fun to see alternate realities, but it's kinda sad that to fix things they basically hv to be ok w/ erasing the alternate versions of themselves.
Still made no sense since he had a soul, he could just regather demon powers just like he had done to become a candidate for the Avatars in the first place. So unless he gave up because he was just depressed when he arrived there which would have meant he let the monster destroy him....he'd still be around.

Unfortunately never worked together on Charmed, but fans had always wanted to see Prue and Paige together and so would I. They did, however, have a mutual love and respect for one another and were super tight for all of 2023 and most of 2024 until Shannen passed away.
I never understood why killing Cole brought back Paige to her timeline? Because once the timeline has been changed, how can it be rearranged, except by saving young Paige from being killed?

My theory is that timeline didn't exist until Cole used his Avatar powers to create it, so it ceased to exist after he was vanquished.
Cause Cole cast a spell so Paige didn’t exist. If Cole was vanquished, the spell would no longer work.
