Unfortunately boxing, particularly pro boxing is not a big thing in China. Zhilei is known by some boxing/fight sport fans there, but that’s about it, certainly far from a household name. This is in stark contrast to the case of Li Jingliang, a Chinese UFC fighter, who has gained quite a lot of fame due to UFC’a successful promotion in China.

I think people should stop looking at Zhang and think he's Chinese, 'Made in China' and therefore rubbish. Credit where credit is due. The man has never been dropped to date, despite being 'robbed' by judges. He's on record said he lost twice on paper, but in his mind, he thought he won and learned from both. You can see by comparison, he's actually a rather thoughtful, humble, considerate and respectful guy, not mouthy like some. He lets his fists so more of the talking. Despite his age, he's still got his mojo and I wish him success, the first Chinese heavyweight to do his country proud. And he adds excitement to the division too. Good on him. BTW, bravo to the excellent translator, not an easy job by any means.

@@LC-ju4ih Wilder dropped Fury, Furys struggled in his last 2 fights... it looks open up the top regarding Fury AJ...we didnt expect Zhang to get here now... AJs been humbled before too by a small fat bloke lol.... and yes it seems Zhang lacks stamina.... so again it looks open and anything can happen at the top.... but yeah Zhangs an outsider

When Zhang saw Wilder was helpless he did what fighters are supposed to do, he finished him...Usyk faced with a cowering Tyson Fury held back and it cost him the knockout.
