Should come back up in July and run with us. Water gets SKINNY and can put you through your paces running a boat. River is packed with people but it’s crystal clear, cold, and always a great time. Jim is a sharp feller! You got the best trio you could ask for!
I can SOOOO relate when you said “Texas sucks”! Lol That clear water man is just so beautiful to ride on and swim in too!🤦🏼♂️🤦🏼♂️ We got to head north for that kinda water. Haha
Man that’s my neck of the woods you wasn’t but 15 mins from my deer camp been on that river my whole life and good call on the chainsaw I don’t run the river without one
You were in my neck of the woods I’m in lestervill 15 miles up the river from k brg. I was gigging hog mollys for the last 4 months you should stop in some time
You wouldn’t consider doing a video on the neutral safety switch would you?!? Just a demo of how to “hook it back up” in case it ever came loose and wasn’t working would you?!? 😎
Hey, can You measure how tall is stearin in your boat in place where outboard is mounted ? I try to figured it out because I do my own boat project, and need that dimension for design. Thanks 🙏
Looks great! I have a similar river that I've been running a mud buddy on, reallllly considering going this route. What boat is this on if you don't mind me asking? Also, any special mods to the motor or just mount and go? My only fear is hitting a big rock, but it sits above the hull right? Cheers!
Mount and go. Takes some time to get mounted perfect. To low and bang it up, to high sucks air. This is a Kaz Kustom I have a full video on if you scroll through channel.
I'm from Canada, Southern Alberta. Just an hour north of Montana and was interested in buying a jet boat package and shipping it to the border. Could you please give me some info on buying sites or dealers to look at around you neck of the woods. I'd like a used package 40hp/16ft ish range. Thx
You would have a hoot on some Washington rivers. I can't believe how skinny that boat will run without a tunnel Hull. How often do you go through impellers?
I'm thinking of Denny Berbeich. I'm by Van Buren MO on the current river. Not really deep into the boat industry anymore but I do vaguely remember you.
Yeah I live about equal distance from The current and the Jack's fork river. Been wanting to come down and run your river. My whole life I didn't even know Texas ran jet John's like us until we started shipping seats down to yall, but I've still never seen or got to run any of it yet.
Who did you buy the outboard from and what was the price? There are two stroke and four stroke Mercury outboards with jet pumps. The 45 4 stroke with a lower unit is 65 hp, 45 hp with a jet pump. I bought in 1987 a 16' alumaweld with a 25 hp Evinude 2 stroke with a jet pump. With a 35 hp carb on it and other engine mods, it puts out at least 25 hp and with 3 6 gallon gas tanks it can cover in an Ozark stream 4 days of canoeing or rafting in a couple of hours.

Definitely want to. I see some video of guys running some smaller creeks as well. They look like a blast
Nice rig bro! I’m totally jealous!

That water is clear
What did you use for the flooring in your sled?
Do jet tunnels make a difference? Seems like they would squat more off plane.

All you have to do is unhook the switch and plug the wires together under the tiller cover.
@@DennisBohannan I’ll be doing that This weekend. Thanks!! You also talked me into a rock ejector. 😎
@@catchemalive I use mine all the time
Nice Boat. Needs Trinity Products Inc. new polyurethane jet foot.

How much does your boat weigh? I've got a heavier excel with .125 hull and trying to decide if a 60/40 will have enough power
554 pounds
Really enjoy your videos. Could you please share your current boat setup? Boat Model and length and where you bought it? Thanks!!

@@DennisBohannan Thank you!!
I’ve got a 03 40 hp Merc. Do you recommend a trim plate or Jack plate?
I prefer not to have one. Have never ran on either though. More weight and counter leverage.

Many smallmouth in that river?

Impellers last real long time. I change liners every year or so.
And Idaho and Oregon skinny rivers! Love it!
Oh he would, Nisqually is a fun skinny river😁
@Graham Shea I have ran a bunch in Idaho and once in eastern Oregon.
@@DennisBohannan Which ones in Idaho and E. Oregon? I'm guessing the Imnaha, and Clearwater?
Did the last merc have high houres?
It had around 500. I was just looking for a reason to go to Missouri
Just broke in at that
What happened to the old motor you had?
Nothing sold it to upgrade to a new one.
When you moving to mo lol?
Why did you have to change the motor?
I didn't have to. Found a new one at a good price.
Do you have an idea on the fuel mileage on that rig?
Empty I get around 9. It varies with load. I have 13 gallons and never hesitate to run 100 miles.
@@DennisBohannan Thanks for the reply.
What’s it running for top speed?

Are you Dennis? Y road marine? This is Cody From Ogden Marine.
Yes on Dennis not sure on what Y road marine is.

@Country Raisins My name is Dennis Bohannan. Wish I was from Missouri. Beautiful place.

@Country Raisins not much to see down here compared to what yall have. Catfishing is good on our rivers.

As for the neutral safety, with a jet, who cares? The kill lanyard, now that's ok, in case a low branch clotheslines ya!!
