    Should come back up in July and run with us. Water gets SKINNY and can put you through your paces running a boat. River is packed with people but it’s crystal clear, cold, and always a great time. Jim is a sharp feller! You got the best trio you could ask for!

    You wouldn’t consider doing a video on the neutral safety switch would you?!?
    Just a demo of how to “hook it back up” in case it ever came loose and wasn’t working would you?!? 😎

    • @DennisBohannan
      @DennisBohannan  Месяц назад +1

      All you have to do is unhook the switch and plug the wires together under the tiller cover.

    Hey, can You measure how tall is stearin in your boat in place where outboard is mounted ? I try to figured it out because I do my own boat project, and need that dimension for design. Thanks 🙏

    Looks great! I have a similar river that I've been running a mud buddy on, reallllly considering going this route. What boat is this on if you don't mind me asking? Also, any special mods to the motor or just mount and go? My only fear is hitting a big rock, but it sits above the hull right? Cheers!

    • @DennisBohannan
      @DennisBohannan  Год назад

      Mount and go. Takes some time to get mounted perfect. To low and bang it up, to high sucks air.
      This is a Kaz Kustom I have a full video on if you scroll through channel.

    How much does your boat weigh? I've got a heavier excel with .125 hull and trying to decide if a 60/40 will have enough power

    • @DennisBohannan

      I prefer not to have one. Have never ran on either though. More weight and counter leverage.

    I'm from Canada, Southern Alberta. Just an hour north of Montana and was interested in buying a jet boat package and shipping it to the border. Could you please give me some info on buying sites or dealers to look at around you neck of the woods. I'd like a used package 40hp/16ft ish range. Thx

    You would have a hoot on some Washington rivers. I can't believe how skinny that boat will run without a tunnel Hull. How often do you go through impellers?

    • @DennisBohannan

    Who did you buy the outboard from and what was the price? There are two stroke and four stroke Mercury outboards with jet pumps. The 45 4 stroke with a lower unit is 65 hp, 45 hp with a jet pump. I bought in 1987 a 16' alumaweld with a 25 hp Evinude 2 stroke with a jet pump. With a 35 hp carb on it and other engine mods, it puts out at least 25 hp and with 3 6 gallon gas tanks it can cover in an Ozark stream 4 days of canoeing or rafting in a couple of hours.

  • @gckshea

    As for the neutral safety, with a jet, who cares? The kill lanyard, now that's ok, in case a low branch clotheslines ya!!
