The story of Tosh Khon and Gũl-e Qũrbon published here on Wakhi adabiyot-e Gulshan RUclips channel is an impressive Wakhi folktale from the Wakhan district of Afghanistan. It was interesting to know that this folktale is found in cross-cultural context, especially among the Pamiri peoples such as Wakhi, Shughni and Yazghũlomi linguistic communities.Few scholarly contributions focused on this folktale have come up in an unpublished manner and also some of them are in the piplelines.
This folktale contains mainly heart-touching elements within itself and on the other also a heart-breaking scenario. To illustrate slightly, the long Wakhi story of more than one hour and fifteen minutes covers and depicts the society and culture in a wide-ranging manner including family, social, political, economic and other related issues in an emotional, intellectual and spiritual ways.
It should be noted that this long Wakhi story I have transcribed, brought in written form like a paper, and published on my website (FAZALAMIN.COM). It can be accessed and read here:

It was in 2007, when Dr. John Mock of University of Calinfornia contracted a project to conduct my anthropological fieldwork in Afghanistan’s Wakhan district. I thus got an opportunity to meet late Muhammad Iso of Yish Mũrgh of Wakhan district, who was a wonderful personality and a live Wakhi literature on the stories related to Wakhi community. It was so choked to know that along with 18 people, he has encounter snow-avalanch hit at night on March 21, 2014 and all 18 of them have come under the avalanche and got killed except for survival of a girl in the village of Nirs (Upper Wakhan). May God bless the sould of late Muhammad Iso and all others in the heavens and confer patience to their family members and community.
