Damn, I had all but forgotten about this song, and then it hits during the movie and I had goosebumps. Whoever Gunn hired to put together the soundtrack deserves an award.
He picks them all himself. He’s said in interviews he wants to pick songs that’s given him inspiration throughout his life and early career. He’s a genius at picking the right song for the certain scene in one of his movies. I don’t agree with his decisions over at DC but James Gunn is probably one of the greatest film makers of these style movies of our time.

Been into 70s-90s music this past 3 years, pandemic starts and I don't know what to do that time, got hooked into Stranger Things and it introduced me into listening to these awesome songs again, learning more about great music and artists. I'm really glad that Guardians kept the love until Vol 3 and gave wide variety of songs that we can listen to. My wife had been telling me that I have the old soul in me since I've been collecting classic vinyl and tape cassette albums this past few years, but man after watching GOTG Vol 3, she can't stop listening to these songs too! 😂
