The reason people apply for tourist visa from UK rather than Ireland is coz your first port of entry will depend on the issuer of Visa, from India most of the flights are for London but none for Dublin. So if you get the tourist visa from Ireland then you have to land in Ireland first then you can go to UK incase of BIVS tourist visa.

The cost factor also plays a role in choosing UK over Ireland. UK Multiple entry visa for 6m costs maybe around ₹10k whereas the Irish visa multiple entry is ₹14k ( as you said). And as others have said the connectivity to London is much better than to Dublin. But as you are reaching from AMS , that’s not a problem for you.

Ireland is not as interesting as Spain, Italy and Switzerland. Honestly, it is the most boring country in Europe. You can explore entire Dublin in just 1 day. I personally found Nice and Milan much better than Dublin.
Ireland may be richer than Spain and Italy but Infrastructure is relatively poor. It may be too cold to visit Ireland in March. Pack a rain + windproof jacket.There are no immigration checks between Ireland and Northern Ireland (Belfast is in the UK) so you may wish to take a chance and visit Belfast.
Train services aren't that regular and frequent like in other European countries but there are regular buses if you don't want to hire a Car. Try visiting other small towns and countryside in Ireland. They are much beautiful than the capital Dublin.

But the difference with Schengen is that Schengen is for everyone present in the Schengen region while UK-Ireland CTA is only for British and Irish citizens and those who are authorized to be in both countries. So airlines and ferries are instructed to check passports and not allow boarding to those not authorised. If going by road, there are random checks. But as it is a CTA, there is no additional stamp or passing through actual passport control. Also, countries are slowly phasing out stamps now as they are uselss. USA has already removed passport stamps. Schengen visa will also turn to an e-visa very soon. After a few years, sticker visas and passport stamps will be gone from around the world.

Bhai UK, UK hai. Aapka Visa reject kiya iska mtlb yeh thodi nah ki kuch country hi nhi hai. It’s among the best countries in the world for travel, pursuing higher education, job opportunities, living, etc. If they are taking 1.5 - 2 mnths for Visa approval, there has to be a reason for it nah.

What you said "UK Tourist visa is valid for Ireland" is incorrect. Its valid only if you have BIVS stamped on it. Otherwise you will have to get visas for both countries separately.

Wrong information. You can visit U.K with Ireland tourist visa only if your visa is endorsed with 'BIVS' (British Irish Visa Scheme).
