I think this trade will end up being a win win if the Bills end up using that second rounder and their first rounder to replace Gabe Davis and Diggs, it honestly makes a lot of sense in my opinion.
the Bills didn't lose any game by more than 6 points last year. they needed to get younger on defense, and they did. Dorsey was super inconsistent other than forcing Diggs the ball to keep him happy. Joe Brady has every single Bills fan optimistic as he found out the best version of the Bills offense was to run the ball and find the open man. Diggs avg 40 yards w 1 TD Bills last 10 games on 80 targets. Shakir had 37 targets for more yards and TD. KC Defense was moving their coverage to bracket Khalil and not Stef in that playoff game. 11 draft picks? with many top guys still on the board at 28. Not to mention the rookie TE Kincaid broke all BUF rookie receiving records and will be featured more along w Dawson Knox and Curtis Samuel
As a life long Bills fan, there is a part of me that will miss Diggs, but honestly as I feel right now, we don't need him. His performance has felt like it dropped off and when we needed him most the last 2 seasons, he was surprisingly absent and the rookie WRs stepped up big and were pulling out big plays in big moments in big games. I think we have a bunch of talent that can be developed into even better players and Buffalo will shake it off come September.
Maybe the coverage was rolling to Diggs leaving the rookies open, idk but that's normal in the NFL.
2nd for a starter is worth it. Runs the same risk trying to draft one with that pick. They also got back a 5th n 6th. Which could be players they could also use. Pretty good job by the texans.

The Bills don't have as many holes as people think they do. Anyone who's followed the team closely knows that. It will really depend on how well they draft, especially for WR. But I don't mind everyone sleeping on Buffalo for a change instead of hyping them up to win the Super Bowl every year and putting them under so much pressure. It's just what they need.
Bills are clearly stacking picks to move up in this draft and get one of the elite receivers. I would hold off on saying the Bills took a step back until we see who they get and how he looks after a few weeks of the regular season.

It's really insane how important a good QB/ great QB is in the modern era. CJ stroud single handedly took the Texans out of the wilderness and a rebuild era into full on competitive mode. At this point you can bassically rate a teams competiveness by QB. Dogshit QB ? Yep, thats a rebuild year. Solid QB ? Might need some good weapons on the side but you might be able to compete. Top 5 QB ? Yeah you will now be in super bowl range until they retire.
