what all these head unit reviews seem to miss is the built in media player review. Not everyone wants to use their phone as a music source, but rather just a usb stick. And so the built in player quality and ease of use is a big deal.
What's the difference between this and the Sony xav 9000es at which one would you recommend I have Android auto Google play music an interest in mostly in quality music sound
Why dont these car companies take a play from these android car head units and offer optical and coax digital output.... It makes things so much sweeter connecting optical to a DSP giving you the best sound possible without having to set your rca and no worries of clipping
Which DSP are you currently running I've been very interested in the zappco but bro that price 😬....wanna make sure I understand them before dropping all that money 💰 🤑 💸
@wallheadkdir funny that you mentioned Zapco... I am running a zapco Z1KD for my subwoofer and a zapco z150.6ii for my active 3 way and the dsp I am using is a Helix dsp.3
Are you planning to review the Alpine iLX-507 receiver, or one of the other models in the new lineup? It seems to largely match this unit in terms of features at a smaller size, but videos I've seen demonstrating CarPlay show significant issues with responsiveness.
@@ivantillett so can I watch RUclips videos on it ? Without any problems ? Im hoping to get it installed next weekend. Just making sure I’m buying good stuff 🥲
@@mannyj9644 it’s definitely good stuff, but i don’t think it plays youtube videos… but i haven’t really dug into it it that much, so i could be wrong.
Ok there is one question, why there is gps antenna and the unit dont hsve gps software, plus that if you using the mobile like iPhone or Android it will use the phone as GPS software and hardware!
I'm having a backup cam that output video through a 2.5mm jack. Now I want to do a split for this Sony head unit and still want to record the backup cam with my current dash mirror (using a 2.5mm jack), what splitter do you recommend?
I am thinking to get this one my Toyota Camry 2014. but I have questions that do I need any extra stuffs for my car? I mean harness or any other cables? can you please help me?
I'm about to buy this head unit with complete system for my truck, but don't know to much about modern systems. I'll wanted to install 2 amps and use the 6 preamp outputs. Will the audio controls work thru the rca outputs as well? If so, I'd imagine I could save some money on the amps. I was thinking about buying expensive amps with DSP and extensive audio/signal control. But it seems like the head unit can already handle the sound quality and control.
hahahaha kenwood much nicer hahahahahahahahahaha you don't know anything about car audio do ya? Kenwood are trash. Worst software issues and screen problems you will ever have. I had mine swapped out 3 times in a year. Yes a 1k dollar kenwood excelon as well. Kenwood nicer? yeah you don't know anything.
There are few chinese unknown brands that are offering 1080p but not from major brand names like Sony, Pioneer, Alpine or Kenwood. Why? Maybe because 1080 is not really necessary for using CarPlay or Android Auto, these headunits are not meant for watching high resolution movies or anything like that yet.

😮 That price is breath taking!
Save your money and get the Sony 4,000 the 9500 extra money is not worth it
Where the android auto? You didn't show it being used there.
Will you be able to watch movies on this thing!!!!!! 🤞 😬 🤞 is it running off the hot spot from your phone?????

Great review. Will this fit a 2014 Hyundai ix35?

Yes sir, waiting for the iLX-507 to ship, looks like it’s on back order.
Solid video 👍. Does this play video through usb flash drive?
apparently it does now with new firmware
Is this considered “mirrored” screen ?
@@mannyj9644 I was thinking just playing video not necessarily mirroring anything

Is it better than Pioneer dmh-z9350bt?? Can you compare both.
Does this head unit have a built in dsp ?
Ok there is one question, why there is gps antenna and the unit dont hsve gps software, plus that if you using the mobile like iPhone or Android it will use the phone as GPS software and hardware!
Good question. You are right, no need to connect the GPS antenna.
The GPS antenna is the WiFi antenna for wireless CarPlay/Android Auto, it will not work without that antenna plugged in
Can you recommend a screen as good as this one but for a cheaper price?
🤔 nope
Yes
LMFAO
How did you get safari and youtube apps to pop up for apple carplay?

Indian market price in Rs 80000
Can you still get the unlocked apps on the new iPhone 14?

Don't split a camera like that. You want an active splitter.

Yes you might, check Crutchfield.com enter year and model and it will tell you what u need
Will this fit in a 2009 Toyota corolla? If yes, will I be able to use the steering wheel controller
Will probably fit your car but might not be able to use steering wheel controls.
Yo will if you use a maestro

Amazing bro.
is this unit okay for 2019 Honda Accord Lx ?
Won’t fit your car unfortunately.
@@iSimplifiedTech please advise something for Accord 2019 Lx? that would mean alot.
Whats the max volume?
Is it an IPS, VA, TN, or OLED panel?
Sony's website says it is a TFT Active Matrix panel, 1280x720 resolution

Very good question and unfortunately I don’t have the answers to it. The best place to ask is on Reddit on r/CarAV community.
It will work. I have a 700/5 with separate rca for the subs
Build quality is nice but for the price the Kenwood’s are much nicer just super hard to find

It has built in amp.
@@iSimplifiedTech Is this one 4x100w like Xav 7000 ??

Well none of the big brands are offering 1080p at the moment. 720p is a step in a good direction.
@@iSimplifiedTech so there are no 1080p head units sold on the market right now? Why? When might that change?

What units are allowing higher resolution for movies??
Such laggy UI/UX with underpowered hardware should be priced $100 max
