Important piece of kiwi history. I take time to watch this every year with my grandparents, and we treat it like it's the first and last time we heard it. Love seeing the memories these songs bring back for me and my folks.
Strong loving whanau, culture and art brings unity and peace where politics, power and money never can. How great thou art. God defend New Zealand. For every race and creed. Arohanui. Faafetai Howie, Gerry and families that build peace for their nation. I will always love New Zealand and that promise of Whanau and peace. Fitting finale by the Matriach who founds it all. Grandparents. Position of God. They know all.
Thank u for sharing, i was a child when i watched this, now i am older and fully appreciate all the waiata and memories, thank u Howard and the boys, Rest in Love
Saw them back in my little home town**WAIROA** back in 1964..They were great..Howie had that voice..actually they all were great singers..We still sing their songs today ,have a korero about that time we saw their show..You dont get that sort of entertainment any more..GOD BLESS to all the families of the **HOWARD MORRISON QUARTET**
I have great admiration for The Howard Morrison Quartet. They visited the Sanitarium many of us were in because we had Tuberculosis in the late 1950s. And they sung for us.
J’aurais tellement aimé les voir en spectacle hélas !!! De très grands talents je les adore ainsi que leur musique je passe en boucle leurs chansons ♥️♥️♥️♥️
I can never forget when they came to Balclutha in the very early 60s. It was the first live performance I attended. Howard Morrison stopped in the middle of one of his top notes to ask a girl in the audience who had just had all of her teeth taken out and was smiling widely at him " Where are all your teeth love?" She stopped the show for a while by her answer " Shut up you cheeky bugger" and the whole group just stopped with uncontrolled laughter and the musicians tried to continue playing. I still have their first LP.
Music was your life Howard, and you make every New Zealander proud of all the years you filled our lives with your sense of humor , and your special music. Thank you to all the members of the Howard Morrison Quartet throughout the years, for there were many. Remembering, wonderful memories. . .
A fantastic performance by Sir Howard Morrison, The Howard Morrison Quartet and all the other performers during this spectacular final tour. Very impressed to find this on RUclips. Thanks so very much for uploading it.

Inspite of your soul being respectfully shared by yr whanau, in a way only whanau can..you remain truly an entertainer..I met you and the quartet at Putiki Marae who hosted you all before your live show..a 17yr old meeting with our own local "stars" was such a proud moment for me 2 as it was the first time mtg my whanau from whanganui.. U guys were gr8 for many of the promising local maori talent from the Awa, Ratana Pa, Ngatirangi/Raetihi Taranaki etc etc..many making it across the ditch and te ao I pay this tribute to you and the quartet RIP 4 eva with ariha.🕊⚘️🕊🙏🕊⚘️🕊🌿👋💕

Beautiful walking bass from Charlie on Sweet Marie. Brings back fond memories of him and Rick Hep. I had the privilege, as brief as it was, to play on drums with these two musical giants. So good to see them again.
cracked up at 30 minutes! Showing my age to remember the Richard "pokai" Lowe incident. Surely other Kiwis remember this? And skip to 1:12:50 for a Dr. Ropata / Jake the muss pukana! Great video and lots of memories attached to the songs
