We can’t be gleefully laughing at this as though those aren't serious consequences. Children deserve to have a mother and father but not every person deserves to be a mother or father. Seems selfish to me. Imagine being the children of these women and knowing they struggled in life because their mother and father couldn’t control themselves any more than an animal in heat. Not having multiple baby daddies was the only thing I did “right” 😂 my mom had 5 baby daddies, my father had 7 baby mamas, I hated the division growing up. Age gaps all over the place, everybody has their own separate family…. It sucked. Pretty much the only people I know with only 1 baby daddy only have 1 child, everyone with more than 1 kid has more than 1 baby daddy. But I’m not going to blame it all on the women, some women didn’t wanna give up hope on having a nuclear family and things went left. Life happens.

Honestly, having a kid itself is so tiring and going everything by yourself can be stressful and financially draining. Women really need to begin journaling, so they can see their decisions on paper. I jumped from toxic relationship to the next, but when I began writing out my feelings and hurt and pain, I saw myself and where the issue started. It started with abandonment and rejection in my childhood, so then you go out pulling at people emotionally because of the gaps you feel in your heart. Write down those feelings. You will begin the healing process after that.
The big reason is trauma. People underestimate the effect childhood trauma, even trauma in adulthood has on a person. It affects how you make decisions.

I have 6 half siblings. The messiness of the dynamics sucks and continues through adulthood. It’s truly unfortunate and unfair for the children brought into the unstable environments. My siblings who share both parents have much closer relationship than those of us who do not share the same sets of parents. The lack of consistency in all of our upbringings has been the source of tension, jealousy and division. I’m married, 36, and currently child free. I spent a lot of time healing and reparenting myself in preparation for breaking dysfunctional generational cycles before becoming a parent. We have to operate with the utmost care when creating new life
I usually don't generalize, but women end up in these situations because of unaddressed brokenness! It's easier to get into a relationship rather than do the internal work! The desire to have love, affection, attention, and companionship can be consuming, especially if you didn't have it growing up. You can find yourself in a situation that you didn't intend to be that way. Also, ladies, we still need to be smart! If it didn't work the first or second time, try something DIFFERENT!!!

One of my friends told me her mom asked her when she was going to have a baby with her bf….I was shocked b/c this girl has trouble keeping jobs, is constantly needing to borrow $20, and doesn’t even live with the bf or married…. Her bf is also constantly broke and neither can afford to live on their own. But she was actively trying to get pregnant. She also can’t even afford to keep a car, they keep getting repossessed. Why a child should be brought into those conditions idk. She’s still not pregnant and is mad about it. But I think it’s for the best.

I’m a 54 year old woman…. My poor sister has three baby daddies…. Each one was a serious relationship that did not work out. Unfortunately, she does not pick the best men. I paid child support for those three baby daddies for 20 plus years because they were deadbeats and would not…. Men you feel emasculated by that - go get a job.

If she filed for child support, that back child support will come her way in a life-changing lump sum when those guys try to get their social security or tax refund. She'll be able to pay you back for all your help. Hopefully, her baby daddies are working tho. A lot of these men will purposely become homeless or leech off another woman's resources to avoid being accountable. They'll cut off their own legs to make sure others can't walk.
I don't have kids but I think I also pick bad men cause none of my exes are married despite being older than me in their 30s, meaning if I had a kid with any of them I'd be a baby mama too. Sad.
The solution to the 3rd women’s question is wait until marriage to have children. If it don’t work out then, thats sometimes out of your control. Why birth a man’s children that you wouldn’t see yourself with for the rest of your life? I understand marriage doesn’t work out but, at least you’ve made a vow.
For my fellow young sisters, court and date this person until you have SEEN who he is. If his actions don’t align with what you want be willing to walk away and you set the term. Don’t have him dragging his feet, he should know a least a year and a half in. If he can’t decide or wants you to prove that your « wifey » show him how wifey material you are by walking away. I wanted to believe a lot of them were manipulated and lied to, which some of them absolutely were, but it seems like even the ones that were manipulated and lied to are proud of it.... black women, please, we need to get it together and do better work on ourselves because a lot of the time, it's a lack of self-worth, self-esteem, and self-respect. If we can become more aware of that, it would be groundbreaking for us.

To those who judge being married or being in a long-term relationship doesn't mean they'll stick around. My mom was engaged to my dad and he is the father of my brother and I. They were together for a long time. However, one day, he cleaned out the bank account and took off to another city to party. It didn't make any difference. He never paid child support and I haven't seen him since I was 5 (I am 38). People fall in love and they think it'll last forever. They think that they wouldn't lie or abandon their family. The only thing these women did wrong was believing the lies they were told.

I don't understand the problem with birth control. If you don't want an abortion use birth control. There are many choices. If you can't use one, use a different one and I'm not talking about pulling out or trusting a man. Don't get pregnant until you really know the man and have a commitment. I understood where everyone is coming from, but then again not. When you're asking older women (which my mom is one of. Youngest of 3 here by the 3RD baby daddy...fix ya lips/fingers I dare you, we are NOT playing about my mama) and I get it because I've wondered and asked her myself but again she's older and times were different as far as having access and then also the stigmas that they lived with daily coming from all directions.
I realized that as silly as it seems to us, how naive and downright foolish, my mom entered each relationship with fresh hope, faith, love. A clean slate so to speak. She wasn't taking her negative experiences with her and painting EVERY man she came across with the same brush (granted, she should have kept color swatches to keep from buying the same damn paint) but my point remains.
She never saw any of us as burdens that she was LEFT with, she just got along with life with a few new passengers. And the one thing I'll let no one take from her is this: she went through some SHIT with EACH AND EVERY ONE but she NEVER EVER bad mouthed them to us, in front of us etc. And they were all absent, but present, if that makes sense, treated me the same as the older 2.
And I'm not taking up for them, at all, as responsible fathers, men, leaders? Fuck them to the moon and back!! 💯💯, but they NEVER showed her anything but love in front of us. And at one point, all of them wanted to reconcile but she never looked back. In fact, my dad is the last she ever messed with at all, she's livingthe rest of her life celibate; guess she came to terms that all her good will and faith was misplaced, but she never blamed US for her decisions.
I say ALL that to say, as a 36 (on the 15th) year old child free by (reluctant) choice (because I REFUSE to suffer sorry men like she did) I UNDERSTAND- that life happens to each of us differently, and it's not my job to pass any type of real judgment (opinions are different) on how others choose to operate. The BEHAVIOR is nonsensical-stupid and every other name but for ME, if a person is not constantly blaming others, their own child , parents etc, and they just going about life? Do you Boo, imma root for you, because one thing about me? I love a good underdog or comeback story!. That's my piece 🤷🏾♀️

From what I see, there seem to be people in this world, that have never understood that choices and actions have consequences, especially if it doesn't happen immediately and every single time they do something. To these people life just happens and they have no idea why they ended up where they are.
Example: A former friend back in my teen-days called me panicked because she was pregnant and found out to late to end it. I ask her about the situation: What kind of protection she used and what symptoms she may have dismissed. I was like "I know that you know where babies come from, so why didn't you just do oral, if you didn't have any other kinds of protection?" Her response: "But nothing had happened when I did it before, so I didn't think it would happen!" Luckily for the kid, she did learn that lesson and never had another. She did try hard to get her life sorted out, but have a general problem figuring out what the long term consequences of anything might be. We lost contact, but I think she was diagnosed BP in her late 20's.

I felt what the second lady with the red hair and the memorial weekend adult juice said. I know two women ( one white and one mixed race) who popped out 8/9 children with the same baby daddy who wasn't shit. Mother 1 had 5 of the 8 kids taken by social services and she still continued to have sex with the same baby father. Mother 2 had all 9 kids taken. The same baby fathers but couldn't stop social services from taking the kids. My best friend had her kids taken by social services due to lies told by her mother. Best believe her ex-husband and only baby daddy came showed up dropped everything and went and got his 3 kids instead of them being in a foster/children's home. he got his money together and a plane ticket and showed up. I don't like the dude but I respect him for dropping everything and going and getting his kids!!
The next story- My maternal grandmother had 6 kids, 4 baby daddies and 2 husbands. 2 of her baby daddies died before the kids were 18. She had miscarriages. She lived in poverty until her first husband and 4th baby daddy came along. Her mom died when she was young, I dont' think she got on with her father and she had her first child at 18, unwed. A lot of it is childhood trauma as with why people have so many kids and so many baby daddies.
These were just justifications. They didn't answer the question. They acted as if they HAD to put themselves in these predicaments, and I specifically mean having unprotected sex and not using birth control. Talking about the relationships and how these men did them wrong is irrelevant. The point is that they didn't control the one thing that they could have, whether with a bad man or a good one. We have got to do better and stop acting powerless to excuse our own poor choices.
