Complete potato packaging line in the "Sandveld", Western Cape

After potatoes are received from the land, they are washed and then “polished” for the almost white potato look. Potatoes then move inside the warehouse to be sorted in sizes with our sizing units and correction is done with our new Lift-roll sizers to ensure accurate sizing of the potatoes. After sorting, potatoes are temporarily stored in bunkers, after which they are manually graded on the Uniekum grading tables. Potatoes are then weighed with Manter's M10L, a 10-head combination weighing machine, and packed with our bagging unit. Alternatively, at the same time, another bunker can be emptied and graded after which the potatoes are weighed with our Weighbuddy weighing machine.
