The espresso machine handle is melting because it was designed with electric stove tops in mind, not gas.
And it's plastic because the whole body is aluminum and you really can't touch that while hot.

Looks like it's on a ceramic cook top. There's nothing wrong with the mokapot, this person is just an idiot. You can see the eye extending out several inches away from the pot, meaning they are using way too large of an element for the pot and are melting a handle which would never come into contact with the heat from the stove if over an appropriately sized element. Small mokapot = small element. It's not rocket surgery.

Holy shit, I posted the one at 9:53, and not only was I binging Emkay at the time (I have watched basically nothing else on RUclips for the last two months) but I hoped it'd get on here! I wrote it while imaging how it would sound being read by Lexi, what a stroke of luck that it's in her video! Thanks, whoever chooses the memes they react to!

The A looks like an A the N looks like an N and if you look at the rest of the sign Internal has that capital I that looks like the same thing as the third letter. The D, if you look at Practice, the P doesn't look the same because instead of the curve like on the D, the P has the straight line, this only leaves D. The U has the same letter as in Urgent so U must be the last letter. A. N. I. D. U. Anidu Square

I was about to say; I hate it so much, it almost always gets me. Sometimes they don't even bother with the colors, but even when they do the GREEN ones are much easier to see from a distance on a black keyboard than the RED ones (the ones that I'm supposed to actually pay attention to)

Yeah they are made that way, on purpose. Because we have more letters. Denmark, Sweden and Norway have the same keyboards.
They are not crappy, just in a different language. If you are English speaker, and thinks that’s the only language on earth. Feel free to ignore the keys, as there only function is to type some extra letters. In one of the Scandinavian alphabets. (Including Finlands alphabet. Even tho historically it’s apart of the Baltic sisters, and not Scandinavia)

Probably the first of these weird things I could actually read for some reason. 😅
Less a crappy design and more confusing, yet somewhat relatable one. I got a Best Buy ad in the mail last year (2020) around Christmas time that just said "Have a year." I think at that point even Best Buy knew it was too late for a good year.
When I got the notification that emkay posted another video I clicked it immediately

Swede here, the "Norwegian" keyboard or so called Scandinavian layout is because å, ä, ö are literally parts of our languages.
I'll never understand the point of marketing that doesn't actually show the functionality of a product. Pregnancy test ads where a very clearly pregnant woman has a positive result is really not a convincing ad. Same thing goes for razor ads where a clean shaven woman is shaving her hairless legs.
you...would be shocked...in college i was told that on average, 20% of pregnancies world wide, the mother doesnt know she is pregnant until close to the end of the second trimester...
and oddly its not most common in the US, its more common in Italy, followed by Brazil, and then the US.
I've personally had to explain to a women, in labor with her THIRD child, that not only was she definitely in labor (we had crowning and were rushing to get ready) but she kept saying it was impossible she had given birth to her second just 9 months before.

@@viviennart never said it was a good font just why it existed. Several other fonts have been made but trying to have all letters be different unique shape and still pleasing to the eye of the average person is a hard task.

Key layout, Swedish, Norwegian, Danish.
It has thus been swapped on Æ and Ø on Danish and Norwegian keyboards, where the Norwegian keyboard layout follows the Swedish one (Ä and Ö ). This is a tradition that originates from the first Norwegian typewriters, which were produced in Sweden.

9:40 The problem is that one key is labelled "Æ Ø" and another is labelled "Ø Æ". That makes it very difficult and annoying to remember which one is actually "Æ" and which one is "Ø".
I think certain keyboard manufacturers do this because they want to sell the same keyboards to all Scandinavians, and Denmark and Norway have "Æ" and "Ø" arranged differently on their keyboards (in Denmark, "Æ" is to the left, while it's to the right in Norway). The result, is keyboards where both letters are printed on both keys, so you have to remember which is which every time.
So the Danes are the Scandinavian keyboard contrarians!
That means Sweden, Finland and Norway agree that Ä/Æ should be on the right of Ö/Ø.
More intrigue: I just checked for pictures of old German typewriters. Germany also puts Ä to the right of Ö. Denmark really didn't want to conform, huh?

Apparently not. We also still use h instead of b for musical notes. So the notes are denoted as ahcdefg here.

To be fair to the Danish keyboard layout, it does arrange “Æ” and “Ø” in alphabetical order.
@@ahlpym that is a fair point, but only because you hadn't officially adopted Å when you started using typewriters. Otherwise, that argument implies that you read text starting from the bottom row. Or that your alphabet is in the wrong order. As a Swede, the second one clearly fits better with my biases.
As for musical notation, is ahcdefg really still being taught in Denmark? I ran into it from old books when I studied music in my teens, but never from the teachers or the updated reading material.

No, they’re definitely not. I’ve only ever seen the “ØÆ”+“ÆØ” thing on Thinkpads. There are probably others, too, but the vast majority of keyboards sold in Denmark only show the Danish arrangement.

To explain, a cellphone is a small 2-way radio in essence. Its output is something like 0.1 watts max. A 2-way radio fitted in a car can output 100 watts max.

10:04 Anidu? Doesn't sound like a word but it might be a family name. You can figure out some of the letters by looking at the rest of the sign. For example, second word in yellow on the left is "Internal," and the first letter is the same as the third letter in the first word

9:28 Manufacturers make one model of keyboard, to be shared by Sweden, Finland, Norway and Denmark. Ä and Ö (used in Sweden and Finland) are functionally the same as Æ and Ø (used in Norway and Denmark). Å exists in all four/three/two alphabets (because history). But we can never agree on which order the alphabet is in, or where each key should be on a keyboard. The result is this mess.

Idk why but always when I see something about Norway (aka best country in Europe) I always gets hyped. And always when I watch the clip I get even more disappointed then I was before. And I have never understood why the creator of the Norwegian keyboard wants to bully us

I had to fill out my birthdate on my application form, but instead of fill-in there was a button you clicked that brought up a calendar, with the current month and year. You had to click back, one month at a time, until you reached your birth month. There was no way to go back faster. It took a LONG time.
