    They're hyper produced, but would sound great in certain music. Can't wait to try it! Some of those snares are massive!

    😮 These kits sound great! Ralph, are these to date the best feeling and triggering METAL E cymbals?

    • @digitaldrumming
      @digitaldrumming  4 месяца назад +1

      To my knowledge yes they are 😃 AE Hybrid also does the b20 e-cymbals without the low noise holes, these will be up for demoing soon too 🤙🥁

    That Fat Room kit is MASSIVE, I tried to get as close as possible to a similar sounding kit on my td 17 using the Drum-Tec Dixon Dry as the foundation, but I can't figure it out. Any advice? ❤

    • @digitaldrumming
      @digitaldrumming  7 месяцев назад +1

      The TD-17's internal sounds unfortunately don't have the same capabilities as a "full blown" well recorded/mixed multilayer sample library. So even though, you are able to add some one shot samples for every trigger zone (which is really not enough), you won't be able to get the same results as a high quality library. But TD-17 is great for sample triggering through midi :-) Kind regards!

    Hey Ralph,
    Sounding awesome (as usual) One question regarding the LV cymbals. Do they have an anti-rotation system?

    • @digitaldrumming
      @digitaldrumming  7 месяцев назад

      Hey Steve, thank you! Yes they do, there’s a rotation stopper under the cymbal, you can see that in the intro in some of the other videos with them. Kind regards!

      @@digitaldrummingthat’s great to know.
      Some of my LV cymbals are starting to give me problems and I’m checking out what’s about to replace them. These AE hybrids look great.
      Though I’m probably looking more at their CTS B20 ones, they seem very much in the realm of Field in design.
      I would consider Field too, but I’d need to sell a kidney on the black market first.
      Anyway thanks for the reply. You Da Man!!!

    when you compare the sounds of Ralfs production here with all the videos of the new Alesis Strata rising up right now, you hear the BIG difference between high class and middle class. But I know, there are also some Euros difference between both worlds

    What acoustic elements would you recommend to reduce the noise to other rooms in the same floor?

    • @digitaldrumming
      @digitaldrumming  7 месяцев назад

      Hey Justan, you have to differentiate between room acoustic treatment and sound insulation. Room acoustics panels will improve your room acoustics, reducing flutter echo and unwanted reflections in certain spots, and/or frequency build up to make the room work better for listening/mixing or recording.
      Sound insulation on the other hand prevents sound from leaving a room, and works the same way as thermal insulation basically. You have to close all air gaps first of all, so no sound soundwaves can travel freely. Most of the time doors are a weak part, as they are usually not air tight and rather thin inside of houses/appertments.
      Both topics are sciences of their own :) but generally speaking for insulation: reinforce doors/windows or replace them with more massive/thicker ones which are perfectly air tight. Apart from that, there's not much you can do without doing some construction work at home.
      Kind regards!

    • @JustanEdrummer
      @JustanEdrummer 7 месяцев назад

      @@digitaldrumming thanks, so all those sound absorbers panels won't make a difference then, rhe missuss still hear the clang clang of metal ecymbals ..

    • @digitaldrumming
      @digitaldrumming  7 месяцев назад

      @@JustanEdrummer All those sound absorber panels are there because what you see is my homestudio's editing room, which I use for mixing/editing in the first place. I do have special sound insulating doors & windows for the rooms also, so it is quiet inside and also no noise goes outside. I think I don't quite get your question?

    • @JustanEdrummer
      @JustanEdrummer 7 месяцев назад +1

      @@digitaldrumming Yes, sorry, what I mean is those absorber panels are for mixing/editing but do nothing to reduce the noise of the edrums to the next room, I just play edrums, I don't want to reduce the echo/flutter, just to annoy my wife less 🙂

    • @digitaldrumming
      @digitaldrumming  7 месяцев назад

      @@JustanEdrummer Ah ok I get it, yes acoustic absorption panels will make your e-drums sound more "pleasing" in the room they are in. You'll have less chaotic wall refelections making impact noise sound dryer & more controlled (subjectively a bit "quieter", although it's not really).
      But panels won't reduce sound waves travelling over to the next room, you'd have to prepare the whole room (ceiling, floor, walls) with absorptive material & make it air tight for that ;-D
      Kind regards!
