Gave me chills! Love seeing Ray lamontagne xx
Good lord! Look at Levon at 2:28 and the next few seconds - that's not an old, sick man close to his end - that's a fresh-faced boy in love with music and filled with joy - delighted to be surrounded with friends like himself and playing for the people. That is what true healing looks like - and one could be healed like this right up til the moment of passing if they were so blessed. I believe this gift was given to Levon Helm because he earned it and deserved it - those who knew him clearly saw it in him. I could kiss Donald Fagan for joining the circle - he always did know the real deal when he saw it. And Larry Campbell - he made it happen - blessings, thanks, and kudos to him...

Yeah, Levon looks gleefully happy, after all that negatives that happened to the original 'BAND'...***!!!
Such a great look at a man still loving life. Great comment 👌
Was at this Mnt. Jam! One of my best memory weekends of my life!
Sam Bush, man. What a drag it was when we lost one of the best drummers whoever drummed,Levon was playing right up until he couldn't and the whole time with that huge smile. For those that didn't know that music is medicine Levon reminded ya everynight that it was.
Levon! What a great guy.
This was so cool, I was there & it was happening. Levon!!! RIP!!!
Good really good, thanks
HOLY SNAP...."MY LITTLE DRUMMER BOY" YOU TOOK THE SHOW!CONGRATS MOUNTAIN MEN...AND TO THE YOUNG LADY...FRICKEN WELL DONE.! THANK YOU ALL FOR SHARING THIS ❤
The Smile on Levon's Face made me happier than I've been in a very long time! Nuff Said!!!!
Has there ever been another musician so loved by his peers? I can't think of one. A great musician and a better man.
+buckfan1969 With the passing of Levon went a big chunk of Americana. What a lovely man he was.
i wish that Vail would bring back HunterMountain Jam back this summer!
Very touching - I could clearly see pure happiness on Levon's face when he was singing it. He accomplished (together with The Band) an amazing thing - he created a song that three generations of musicians consider as a saint credo, an anthem... I'm sure that seing that many succesful musicians of that many generations singing his song, paying a tribute to him, he could die in peace. RIP Levon!
Levon grinning at the mandolin spot.
Levon singing.
Warren Haynes.
Levon's look of appreciation of Warrens talent and playing.
Levon smiling as he gives a drum masterclass in feel.
Levon singing with his daughter. Priceless.
So happy I was there for this. Goodbye Levon.
God bless Levon Helm!
thanx Levon and friends.
Excellent!
RIP Levon, thank you for beautiful memories
Levon will live on forever his contribution to music and ultimately the world was just to big to be ignored or forgotten. If any of us can truly live on in spirit its Levon Helm.
it never ceases to amaze me that people still need to read the lyrics for this song when theyre on stage with Levon.
Nothing but joy ever from that man.
Can it be three years since Levon, RIP was with us at Mountain Jam? Hope that Ray LaMontagne and Grace Potter make it this weekend!
Sam Bush is the man!! That instrumental was BA!!
Very nice seanyboi... You just bitched at the fact Levon didn't sing the whole song when it was already a HUGE accomplishment to sing as much as he did in this song.. He could barely sing after his chemo for throat cancer and believe me, levon would've sang every line of every song he made with The Band for the rest of eternity if he could have. But RIP Levon, you left us today because it was your time. We will remember you for all you sang and not for what you couldn't sing.
I was just gonna comment the same thing...puts an even bigger smile on my face seeing how much he loves and what he has accomplished.
Thanks Levon. We won't forget you.
I love this! Thanks so much for letting us see!
god rest your soul levon. thank you for all your awesome music
The angels know you......the music is eternal
I was there... I do wish I could get a video of the whole concert. The whole thing was just amazing.
Loved listening to that guy. So sad to see him go.
Thanks for posting. RIP Levon
Great shot of Levon and daughter right around 5:50!
Amy...*!
Throat cancer. And still singa a verse!!!
It's something to see these featured musicians from different genres all jamming together on this tune.
Mr Levon Helm.....Legend x
This performance is fantastic. Any chance of posting "Blind Willie McTell" from the same show? Levon and Warren sounded fantastic together!
RIP, Levon. And wow, Patterson Hood! I had no idea he'd shared a stage with the great man.
What a day indeed !!!
This is sooo good!
Love Levon!
Gave me chills : )
I tried to write something profound but I've got nothing. God rest your soul, Levon. God rest your soul.
RIP Levon, You will be missed.
one of the best band ever
So Great!!!
Great slide solo from Warren!
Levon Helm is the most influential musician of all times. R.I.P.
RIP Levon
Levon - RIP!
Awesome.
Hence the narrative
TOO GOOD
Does anyone know a song by the band that Robbie sang lead on?
Mookieisfraud, you said it for me, there are some folks in this world that just have to bitch abut something. If he would just shut up and listen ,, he would understand. Levon will be missed, but as long as I have RUclips it will be fine with me. ;-)~
Unfortunately because the band were brothers when they were all playing together. Afterwards the band tried to play again and Robbie wouldn't let them use the name. Hence the feud that continued until levon passed.
hope i have hair like levon has here. RIP LEVON :'(
Levon Helms on drums?
+Schy Mark First time ever!
Levin on drums?
i hope whomever caught Levon's sticks @ 7:05 is still using them
@benjaminpwallen
What can I say, I wasn't there with them... If I was there with them they would have a new leader right now, and Levon and Fagen would have a new Icon to look up to... but it just wasn't to be.
You may kiss the ring.
don't know levon , ashamed to say.
Had my chin on the stage with him more than once. RIP>God bless.
:) QC
Where are those horrible vocals coming from at around :44-48, etc. This could have been a lot better minus one or two guys' vocals in the jam.
hey who here clicked on a video called levon helm the weight and they wanted to hear not levon helm
Some of those vocals were the worst I've ever heard in my life. You test our patience with this... Eliminate all but the Levon vocals and re-submit.
