- JUST BECAUSE WE'RE SAD DOESN'T MEAN THAT WE'RE DYING!!!
In a way, William Bonney really got me into shape. Some of the lyrics like "I hate everyone that I know then I wonder where did my friends go?" hit me hard in the heart. Honestly, they scared me. It made think about my life and where it would lead me if I didn't change a few things. I have to thank William Bonney for that feeling.
Known as “The Three Week a year Band”, William Bonney was never full time but their pacing is something to be admired as it lead to an amazing EP, a dope castle and two fun tours. So what was their journey like? Let’s take a look into the story of William Bonney.

TO THE BAND THEMSELVES: Thank you for watching. I hope to have represented your work in a positive light. Your art deserves a look at and there is always a story to tell. If you want me to take down the video, shoot me an email. Thank you for what you do and we all wish you the best.
my parents did not make me quit smh
CONFIRMED!
I think I read it on the band's tumblr page. Thanks for watching the video Garret!
Love this series so much. Glad someone is documenting all these bands
Just found this channel and I love it. My old band played a handful of shows with William Bonney back in 2011, and I look back on the era very fondly. I hope the guys are doing well. Do you do any videos about bands that were around longer than 2 years?? lol. If so, a video about The Reptilian would be amazing.
Glad you like the channel man! I’ll cover any band that has a story worth telling. The reptilian was a band that I saw back in the day when Native, Merchant Ships and lion of the north were on my radar. Gotta look into the reptilian’s story but if can find enough info, I’ll most likely do a video on them. :)
JOHN SIOREK MENTION!!!!!! fun fact hes the drummer of knuckle puck and if you havent already you should totally make a knuckle puck video!!
Hey just wanted to say I've seen a few of your videos now and they really kick ass, hope you keep making more, there's not a lot of channels covering midwest emo bands in this sort of format and I really dig it
"but what do i know, i know nothing" damn dude way to make me really happy and sad at the same time at the end of this video l0l. forreal though appreciate you putting this together

Man I'll never forget this show. You can see me in the audience during their "last show". Miss those days. I was in a band called Kellam at the time and was obsessed with WB lol
Missing this band so much.. 🖤 greetings from Malaysia
I have been listening to them for years now and never knew this thank you for your service to the Midwest emo
Awesome vid boss. I recently started listening to Midwest pen pals and William Bonney awesome to see the background behind it all.
Glad you enjoyed!
William Bonney released a hoodie with a picture from their show in San Diego at the Che Cafe & I'm right behind Jack in that picture (:

Leather empire was a key album for me when I was struggling. Good video

BEST SCREAMO BAND PERIOD...
I'd say that saetia and portraits of past were William bonneys biggest influences
william bonney is so fucking good!!!
You should do one about you’ll live.
Do a documentarybon michael cera palin
Jack sneff musical progression makes me think of a non-comercial Dallas Green
me and my friend got to see them in denton, tx at someone's house/living room. cool dudes. I still have my "el boner" shirt hah
Incredibly based.
if you are reading this and u like this band you should listen to la dispute
Man I absolutely love emo
what is the name of the song that played at the end Z????
The song used in the outro is called “for my sad friends” off of their Fall Demo released in 2010.
K I love emo alot. But I'm still more in love with grindcore/power violence inspired screamo. So I suggest circle takes the square, orchid, in/humanity, Guyana punchline, portraits of past. So on... but seriously I saw circle takes the square in 2014 and it was the best show I've ever been to. They played on the ground instead of the stage. I was right next to drew, and seeing a hundred people scream those complicated poetic lyrics was crazy!!! And they were so nice and humble. The only show even close would be like snowing, loma or like maybe raien? But idk that ctts thing was a dream come true. Real emo and svreamo bands are awesome and members are cool nice people. Unlike fucking scene kid music. Fall of troy was the most arrogant band ever. Next to chiodos. Then we find out all these pop emo bands were rapists like bright eyes yuck.
Gives me Grown Up vibes
your audio is way too quiet
ayyyyy truuuuueeeeee
This sucks. It was mostly just filler of their music. Some nice brief footage of shows but otherwise not worth watching. Sorry to be rude but I found no new information or anything interesting on this. I played it in the background halfway through because it was truly boring. I'm glad I got Ten Songs on LP these songs definitely held up! I listen almost daily still, over ten years. probably found them in whatever band in the mid-late '00s
Thanks for the feedback dude. I like the honesty. What feedback do you have for me so I can make my videos better?
Bruh if you already know the story of the band maybe this video isn't for you, bozo. And you can say no offense all you want but when you start the message with "this sucks" you can't just say no offense and expect us to believe you meant no offense.
I didn't know any of the information in the video, I just liked their songs and wondered "gee what happened to those guys?" and didn't feel like reading 29 reddit posts to find out. Other people exist outside of yourself.
You suck, no offense but you create nothing but then criticize someone who does, if you can do better, do it. This ain't TMZ he's not going to stalk these bands so weirdos like you get more intel, deal with it.
He wants you to stalk these guys or some shit. I think the video was great and informative, my constructivism would be to up the pace a little bit and play a few snippets of their best tracks instead of all of them. Also maybe a tad repetitive at points? Not too much but just yeah a little faster pace and more killer less filler would be mky suggestion bro but it informed me and was a dope video.
@@KazonYTthanks for informing me about this band and it’s history, I thought the video was great!
