How to Draw Flames for Cars (Part 1)

- Part 1 of 2 on how to draw flames for cars. This is the traditional old-school style of flames that you usually see on street rods and hot rod cars. There are lots of different ways to draw flames for cars, there's really no "right way" so just have fun and experiment until you get something you like. But there are some principles to bear in mind and you have to master that swoop motion - it will help your designing in general, not just your flames. God. You got nice flames for what you call junk or sloppy. Lol. Been drawing flames for about a 2 weeks or so. I want flames on my windscreen on my z1000. I’m having problems duplicating the left to the right. Symmetrical. Having to measure and map it on the right side of my drawing. Then it’ not exactly the same. I draw the way you say not to but it’s because I’m working with a limited amount of space.

True story I can do this so easily because I would draw flames on anything I could find for 10 years. Notebooks, cars, sketchbooks, arm tattoos- drawing flames everywhere. Eventually it becomes a muscle memory. Hashtag practice!

nothing worse than a bad flame job? how about the fact, that you spend a load of money on those markers, the camera, and at the same time, there is sooo many people out there without food, water or shelter? they could've gotten a life, a thousand times better than what they've got, if only they had one tenth of your money.... just sayin....
