what do you suggest to me in the economical category of sound cards for FIFINE AM8 microphone? What do you think of cards like Fifine SC1 or M-Audio M Track Solo or behringer umc22 -- um2 Or do you see a better one that you can recommend to me?
@@levelupwithmikenewman In my country the best price available is m-audio m-track solo Is it sufficient without any problems with a dynamic microphone like the AM8?
I’ve never tried the M-track solo. Performance wise you will not have any issues with the SC1 by fifine. The only real negative for me if there is one for that interface is that it’s plastic and not a metal body but if you take care of it like the am8 be more than happy with what you get
Ambiguous audio interface. I think it's better than Fifine AmpliGame SC3, but only slightly. According to the main characteristics, it seems to be the same, but more expensive and 16 bits spoil the impression. And what do you think about comparing these two Fifine interfaces, which is better? Thanks for the review.
If you are podcasting I like the SC1 because of its clean headphone monitoring. 16 bit audio doesnt really become an issue if you are using budget mics that are under $100, but you will definitely want an interface with at least 24 bit audio for premium mics that excel at rich detail in your highs and lows, mics that give you a fuller sound like the Ethos, SM7B, Q9u, LCT 240 pro, NT1’s, and more. I like the SC3 for people looking to live stream their gameplay that don’t include a party chat. Thats where I recommend that as an awesome entry level gaming mixer. 👍🏻
No software. As much as I am living fifine stuff for straight up quality above its price point, the one thing I am hoping for is they start making software like Maono, shure, rode and elgato wave link software
@@levelupwithmikenewmanthats gotta be a big hit on live monitoring latency for sure.... Are you even able to monitor guitar or even live vocals without massive latency?
I like them both, but I do love that the Q9u has a little more body to the sound than the pd400x. I also love that it has a mute button on the mic that works in both xlr mode and usb mode which a lot of combo mics don’t do. Build quality is a touch better than the PD400x. If you want bright audio, pd400x, if you like that deeper broadcast sound with a mid presence the q9u is the way to go. The q9u is better at noise rejections and handling noises as well.
@@levelupwithmikenewman guess I found my mic ❤️ hope to find it here on sale though. Thanks! As I like a deeper broadcast voice on a dynamic mic. Its like the pm500 and pd400x combined
@@levelupwithmikenewman follow up question, is the difference of US$40 more of the Samson Q9U worth it over the PD400x ? The Samson Q9U is more expensive but is the difference worth it?
@@F01L I would personally go with the Q9U over the PD400x because of the switches on the back, and the build quality. The Q9U is a polarizing microphone, people either love it or hate it, with few in the middle! lol. I love it, and if you are patient the mic usually sells for $129, and goes on sale for just $99 which is what is was it selling for when I reviewed it on my channel. With the holiday season (black friday) you can probably snag it for either of those prices. I imagine they raised the price back up to $150 now because they want to make up for the sale prices in a few weeks!
If you like to process and play with upgrading and sprucing up your audio, definitely grab a 24bit interface. But if you just hit record and post and let it ride, it’s a great option at that price. 👍🏻
I was so relieved to put my headphones on and hear clear, clean, crisp audio. Been a rough stretch lately lol.
Its great to see a new budget interface that isn't a crappy audio mixer

Great review , seems worth every bit of money for an entry level interface
Great breakdown sounds pretty good

M-Audio M Track Solo

They are all good choices honestly. Can’t go wrong. I would get the CAD AUDIO interface is the best IMO for quietest noise floor!!! amzn.to/3VSLrl8

Reaper wont recognize the interface. Whats happening?
I don’t have any familiarity with Reaper. Not sure what is going on there.
Sounds good! This get straight to the point unlike the SC3. I think I'd prefer this. What's the headphone latency like?
Zero latency. Real time monitoring 👍🏻

How much DB it gives for the Shure SM7B and MV7?
Works in Linux? 32 bits?
Can you record the 2 inputs on 2 separate audio lines?
Yes. By default the audio in the xlr input goes to one line (left channel) and the 1/4” jack/instrument goes to the second (right channel)
Is this like a budget friendly version of the Scarlett 2i2?
I would say more like the Scarlett Solo. To 99% of listeners, they wouldn’t know which interface you were using unless they could see it.
how does this compare to the m-track solo?
It’s a toss up. Both very similar. You can’t go wrong with either!

Yes you can, use the OTG splitter charge such mcdodo Ca-2830 or ugreen 70308

The usb cable is how you connect the SC1 to your computer
