- Jelly Roll confessed he was “so nervous” about his performance to open up the 2023 CMA Awards as he chatted with “Extra’s” Alecia Davis on the red carpet. Jelly Roll, who was the most nominated male artist of the night, reflected on how “unreal” his journey to country superstardom has been over the last year. He also dished on what his kids think of his success and the lessons he hopes to instill in them.

I got to see him when we went on tour with shinedown, before he started doing country music. It was a great time. He sounds the same in person as he does on the radio/online.

@@Maz-lac814 I don't dislike him. His music style isn't country, just like most of the "new" artists around. I like Jelly Roll I enjoy his music and even his rapping from back in the day but he's not a country artist in my mind.
