    This guy sold cricket pretty badly to be honest. Guys the truth is it's not going to captivate you immediately. It appears to have far too much in common with baseball while not actually being all that similar. What I mean by that is you have a bat and a ball, you have batters, runners, fielders and catchers; but everything else is different. You'll go in expecting something and probably be disappointed.
    The first advice I'd give you is, don't compare with anything, least of all baseball! Also watch a few videos explaining the game, then maybe a live game on TV and try to follow along. Cheer for every shot that goes into the stands like if a rocket took off into outer space. Find someone in your circle with an interest in the sport and talk about it! Ask questions, no matter how basic. It's like any sport - at first you don't know what's going on, but once you do, you can't get enough of it.

    • @aayushshah6970
      @aayushshah6970 2 месяца назад +3

      Baseball and Cricket have fairly similar structures.
      "bat and a ball, you have batters, pitchers runners, fielders and catchers" - yeah, and that is about it. You either hit the ball out of the park or you hit the ball and run. It is the same idea.

    • @blush6601
      @blush6601 2 месяца назад

      No, it's a different in baseball you don't need a mid pitch just throw the bowl no skill and batter has only front direction open to shot and in cricket pitch matters that will decide how much difficult it's going to have... Baseball is easy just throw and catch nothing else.. comparing baseball and cricket is totally absurd because both are totally different game just they use bat and bowl that doesn't mean you can compare it with baseball.. @@aayushshah6970

      Why will Americans pick up a sport they are not good at instead of playing a sport (baseball) which they rule. It’s only expats who play the game. And the number of expats is only going to reduce from now on due to rescuing economic differentials between India and US.
      The recent US team is filled with expats of Indian origin. That population is already on the decline due to unfavourable and hostile visa conditions for legal immigrants in the US. Of course if ppl are willing to enter the country illegally they are more welcoming.
