An easy mistake to make. One is a god amongst mere mortals and the other is a primal sent from the heavens to save mankind. Both give off the appearance of a simple and humble man . . . But don't let that fool you.
Thanks so much for covering the updates Quazii! Always love your coverage. I think for "Cenote Ja Ja Gural" the "te" at the end of Cenote would be pronounced like "tay" as cenote is indeed the word used in Spanish for these water holes that naturally occur in Mexico's Yucatan peninsula (and neighboring countries). Excellent Dawntrail coverage so far - so thankful to have you covering FFXIV!
Yeah at best you may have seen raid design changes to make classes feel more or less impactful during certain mechs, showcasing good players being flexible and optimal, or like a mini change to sat war and drk to make them not the same class lol.
@setsuna5919 true nothing is dramatically changing, and 8.0 isn't going to be as massive as people think. He specifically said don't expect HW level complexity if I'm not mistaken
There are parts of the Amazon jungle where the ground and leaf little get almost no sunlight because the canopy of the trees don't let enough light through.
I think the recent blowup about jobs feeling too similar or boring will have some effect on DT, but it won't be major overhauls like people are wanting. It's more going to be gradual tweaks that they can use for future changes.
Hol' up. At 6:01 you're highlighting a picture of some buildings. Look at that architecture. I'm not *awesome* with discerning some of the different styles, but I *am* aware they exist and they're chosen with intent in something like this. Heritage Found is very much American Old West, the gold-digging towns of Arizona, New Mexico, some parts of Texas, the more deserty areas of Colorado/Utah, etc. The Four Corners area of the US. Notably, it's ALSO one of those areas long associated with legends of a "City of Gold". I have my theories that it's going to be "Blue Gold" aka Ceruleum, but that's another issue. The picture I want to point out is *not* an US associated architectural style. That's much more a Medieval European style called "daub and wattle", I believe. The dark wood with the white plaster and the wooden roof slates? That's a stereotypically *fairy tale* type of architecture. That's also one that I don't think we've SEEN in-game yet. If Heritage Found is the duel with pistols at high noon while some soundtrack goes "wa wa wa woowoowoo" then THAT setting is Werewolves under a full moon and fairies blessing (or cursing) a newborn princess. I think the closest we got to that style was... the second phase of the last dungeon of Endwalker. I am now VERY curious.
Just wanted to point out to people, regardless of preference of player hiding, if you use a keyboard you can target and initiate contact with an NPC with numpad 0 key. That's how I target quest NPCs on patch days.
Valigarmanda is actually originally from Final Fantasy VI (and was translated as Tritoch in the original English release which was called Final Fantasy III), it's a fairly important plot Esper that also teaches the -aga level spells to characters when finally acquired.
Would love to use the 48h maintenance to preload the patch, which is apparently the whole reason it's 48h instead of 24. But on PlayStation the preload date is June 30th. So how can I start playing the 28th?? Hope they'll fix that soon.
I really wish there was a way to know when stuff like the .01 and .05 patches release a lot farther ahead of schedule. I got two weeks off of work for what I thought would be the savage release, but turns out that's actually two weeks later. It's so hard to actually find information on how these expansions always play out because everyone just treats it like business as usual, and doesn't feel the need to talk about it.
Their release schedule is so set in stone you can predict 90% of patches. Anyone you asked would have been able to tell you that july 30th was the savage release date. it is always a month after release
@@richardk4864 That's the thing. I've heard everything from one week to a month. I tried researching, and I never found anything conclusive. That's why I'm saying there should be somewhere to see how these things usually go, so we don't have to just already know from past experience. Also, wasn't it different in Endwalker because of the delays?
Great changes to glamour though I'm still waiting on them to remove job restrictions for glamoured items - tired of having tonnes of glam just to use a glam set on multiple classes - or as a Caster being restricted to only the ugly dresses that is the standard for caster drops which look weird on my male Lala. I'd love to wear my Fending gear or Scouting gear on my Sage and Red Mage.

Hey Quazzi, so Naoki Yoshida, if you see this, please don't postpone any creative changes. People will always rebel against changes. I seen your interview with preach and I feel bad you're held back creatively because of toxic people. I hope you trust your instincts and use player feedback as an accent to your creations and not the main focal point. You'll never make everyone happy.
My bet is "major" job works will be on 8.0 in 2026. If I have to hazard a guess, they'll add sub job system like FF11. I say this because the hominization of jobs seems to be aligning to some big changes.
I mean they made it pretty clear that dawn trail is more of a expansion for harder content to do then stuff with making the classes harder or have a more separation feel between the classes so they don't feel the same. Maybe sometime in the expansion not in 7.2 but maybe 7.5 we can maybe see change in the classes at the earliest lastest probably 8.0 or next expansion. I rather have it happen later when they have more time to get it somewhat down and after some quick fixes to what is too broken on a class then have it as early as 7.2 which would be terrible and would make more players quit then continue playing the game
People (as with #healerstrike) have been waiting YEARS for changes that aren't a one button snoozefest. Your pathetic brown-nosing of the devs and white knighting of their idiotic changes aren't going to get a free pass anymore. So take a hike. It's become old.
People must be getting Yoshi-P confused with FF9 Remake Producer Naoki Yoshida...
yea, it's an easy mistake to make. Completely understandable
I mean, a lot of people also mistake Yoshi-P from the producer of FF16 just cause they look almost exactly alike.

Quazzi crushing it with this summary so early after the live letter. You and your team are a machine!!
For the spiked armor, he mentioned its crafted, but its not max level crafted.

Damn, man. I just turned off the stream to go to bed and you already on it. o7 mad props for getting the info out there as soon as you do.
I have a feeling the "Mysterious Maiden" is an AI personality either trapped inside/in charge of Solution 9.
Valigarmanda, also known as Tritoch, was originally an esper (summon) from FF6. First one encountered before you even know what an esper really is.
thank you for the coverage quazii, welcome back and please enjoy yourself on dawntrail! two weeks!
6:03 looks almost like FF9 alexandria town
WING MOUNT!!! 🗣️📣‼️
this is officially the best expansion EVER
I'm not sure why people assumed 7.2 meant everything would change all at once.

I’m pretty sure 7.2 is the patch with the new encounter design philosophy with the second raid tier.
@setsuna5919 true nothing is dramatically changing, and 8.0 isn't going to be as massive as people think. He specifically said don't expect HW level complexity if I'm not mistaken
Jobs sure need a drastic change, though.
Thanks Quazzi I like your summaries by *far* the best.
Thanks for the translation 😊
I think the spiky gear was mentioned to be lvling crafted gear
There are parts of the Amazon jungle where the ground and leaf little get almost no sunlight because the canopy of the trees don't let enough light through.
The fact the raid is a tournament arc gives it massive potential, everyone loves a tournament arc
would it be funny if arcadion content cutscene intro is a nod to x-2 yuna's concert?
Valigarmanda is from FF6!
If the FF9 remake had the FFX-style of turn based combat, I would be so happy
Unlikely. However, check out expedition 33 if that's what you're interested in.
It'll be like if Moen and old Urianger was with us still :D

Imagine if Solution 9 turns out to be VR World
I think it's more likely the arcadion will be that, since it would be odd if we could teleport into a VR world
We need to hold Games Radar accountable for their blatant lying.
Can we please not point the finger of blame at a c single company it's just not fair or any of that So please let's not sound good sounds good

Sfia getting called out by Yoshi-p was 10/10
The Arcadion set kinda reminds me of the aesthetic that appears in the likes of Hokuto No Ken and stuff for the mooks.

Wonder when we'll have some news about the beastmaster ? Thanks for the recap ^^
Patch content, for sure. Blue mage came late in the patch cycle, iirc.
the fact they are not releasing the crafted gear a week before savage is insane

I can’t be the only one who took Yoshi P saying enhanced combat design in DT as 7.0? Can’t believe they’re waiting until 7.2.

Nice 👍😊
Nice boss hitbox. Can't wait to sit through the worst part of playing Tank again and have to move the boss 56 times a fight.

They should’ve added the option to hide players 4 expansions ago but I’m glad it’s in all the same
