After years of Greater Trochanter pain, rolling is the ONLY thing that has reduced the pain to zero. Strengthening the muscles around it to support and protect the joint only increased and prolong the pain - for years. After my very first rolling session, with a trainer, I could walk pain free. I kid you not. Rolling is something that should be done as much as possible to continue the healing. Resting, and avoiding all things painful as much as possible, icing, warmth and massage also helped relieve pain. Once the bursa seemed healed and pain free for a at least a month, THEN, I began the surrounding muscle strengthening.

Hi Fanny! What foam roller are you using? I need to start this for my hip bursitis. Thank you!

The demonstration of the location on the person is not helpful. Need to show relative to a noticeable landmark like the hip or waist.
