I was just gonna say, Captain Xavier has like, a full arm mount system, I looked it up, it's a cut down raider. So, yea he's also got his proton pack flamethrower thing XD it's a bad day in nerf when you're up against his squad.
The non-retractable Proud Papa with the cord trigger sounds perfect for me, I'd love to buy/make one! Arm mounted blasters are really interesting, thanks for the video about them Brett! 🧡💙
Hey just found your channel. Not sure if you remember or not but we went to college together at UP and did nerf wars in the dorms. Long live the vader tshirts!
@@beretnarf good times man, I was the one with the painted stryfe and the clear centurion. Glad to see you are still going strong in the hobby. I have been meaning to get back into it.
Personally, while I do love arm mounted blasters, I have a soft spot in my heart for the classic underarm mounted sliding derringer. Tiny pistol, hidden up your sleeve, until you need it most, throw like a jolt or a hammer strike on that slide and it'd be perfect
surprised some of the arm mounted fly wheeler mods weren't covered, i know i've seen some sort of full auto rival blaster that was arm mounted some where
Ah I keep forgetting to upload my footage of the Nerf Wrist Flyers from 1982. But this video was not only informative and entertaining, it reminds me to share my review! Everybody wins!
This was a fun video, as I always like to see innovation and the hobby has done great with wrist blasters. I just need to get my hands on them. My only experiences were with an Iron Man blaster from 2019 and the Cyber Strike Autogrip, both of which not so comfortable and suitable for more than one dart.
It would be cool if you attacked a cord to the priming handle a an am proud papa and then attached the other end of the cord to your shoulder so when you fully extend your arm, it primes
oh cool, cyber strike, I actually planned on getting the full set and modifying the set to fit todays competitive standards while keeping the cyborg esthetic, and maybe modifying the head mounted blaster (I forget it's name, I'll look it up on the nerf wiki later) to fit another thing called the eyeclops (toy night vision goggles that actually make decent night vision) along with adding a cyber-punk themed eye scope, and maybe modifying the eyeclops goggles to look close to set and with a rechargeable battery edit: the head mounted blaster is called Perceptor, I plan on replacing the built on scope with a long shot scope painted to match the set, along with a piece of the red reveal (an attachment that came with the nerf wii game) at the front and back of the scope with a cross hair painted on the front piece (if I attempt this, I will try to make the cross hair either small, or transparent
Dang man, I'd really like to see the mandalorian gauntlet fire demolisher/titan rockets cuz in the show It's like a flamethrower and elite darts... Aren't really as intimidating as that. Or maybe full-auto....?
Bret, you need 3d Printed Solid's Dual 45° Offset Rail, so you can mount two Proud Papa's on each wrist and have four types of ammo at your fingertips.
@@beretnarf at End War do you run one load out per mission or use one load out for the entire thing? This was a great video, I hope you stay safe and healthy
The captain america shield blaster is one of my favorites in rulesets where blaster hits don't count. It is terrible as a blaster but surprisingly effective as a shield.
For the SAM, would there be a way to make sliding it into place also pull the orange ring to somewhat remove the need of the cocking action after you slide back?
Hey, I've got that Ninja Gear Wrist Blaster. It's a shame that Hasbro didn't borrow the slide prime design for their Mandalorian gauntlet blaster because that awful mechanism we got seems unnecessary. Also got both of the Spider-Man Dart Tag blasters, a Cyberstryke Strongarm and a couple of Spider-Man 3 wrist-mounted springers that seem to be obscure. Who at Hasbro do I need to pester to get a clip-fed flywheeler to strap onto my arm? It would be more compact than a cylinder blaster, at least...
I had the spiderman dart tag blaster and only the spider man blaster, nothing else, and eventually threw it away becuase I had too many nerfguns and it hardly fired... I was very young then... I am still trying to repress the memory of ever owning it.
I want to build a low profile arm mounted secondary kind of like Deadshot’s wrist cannon in the movie Suicide Squad. There will be different models for different ammo types and I intend for the rival one to be able to work with a proton pack. Every day, I fear more and more that someone will beat me to the punch
hey, left a comment on another video a while back with a question, not sure if you saw it so i’m gonna ask here. i thought i saw someone working at a lego resale shop that looked, sounded, and wore a beret like you. was it?
How could you not have done the nerf manta ray? 4 darts, ergonomic, 2 firing modes and while inaccurate reasonably powerful (for the time). Otherwise awesome video.
"and those are just some examples of wearable blasters" It's cool but I never owned a manta ray so it never made an impact. Like the strong arm, it's also handheld more than arm mounted.
@@beretnarf Fair enough, it was always my favorite back in the day, so I'm likely just biased lol. I think because it was a gimmick blaster that didn't suck completely, after so many times getting burned by wacky ones back into the dark ages it stood out.

I would also like to know how you were here 4 days ago.i would also like to know when that arm mount by out of darts is coming out
Im also curious.
Its a private video uploaded 4 days ago and you can send the link to anybody but its not open for public

The truth is that Luke time traveled.
I foresee Captain Xavier wearing Proud Papas on his arms, legs, helmets, googles and on pretty much everywhere is possible!

Just attach a bunch to his sides and all he has to do to fire is slam his arms to his sides
On his di- I mean his legs!

I cannot wait to get my hands on the SAM. And that blaster set up on your arm at the end of the video is definitely a weapon to surpass metal gear

I like the Derringer style blasters that are small, easy to hide, and meant for surprise attacks from close range.
I love arm mounted blasters. Someday, I hope to build some kind of full auto arm cannon...but it is not this day.
The greatest arm canon has to be G1 Megatron's Fusion Canon. Would love to build a nerf version. If only I knew what I was doing.
surprised some of the arm mounted fly wheeler mods weren't covered, i know i've seen some sort of full auto rival blaster that was arm mounted some where
Captain Xavier made some arm mounted 'flamethrower' zeus
I didn't cover any particular mods other than my own.
Ok, I'm gonna need two of those, because I want to do a mandalorian setup.
Great video, that's the first one i watch from you
for arm mounted blaster, I believe Captain Xavier has something really cool in his heavy loadout
I watch short of you and now im filled with your vids not that im complaining! these are great!

What we really need is something with that sliding part with a pocket strike mounted on top to have it be as thin and concealable as possible.
As a LARPer, I want to get my hands on the arm mount system so much
I will definitely be buying a pair of sliding arm mounts and then immediately making an assassin cosplay.

I love to see you run 2 arm mounted Little Rockets in a war.
When I was a kid I had the spy gear wrist mounted lazer sight tri-dart blaster
The sliding mechanism is really reminiscent of the Colt .25 sleeve gun from Taxi Driver. Put a Double Strike on it to get two shots instead of one.
The blaster mounted one would be very cool you could have an emergency shotgun or whatever ammo you might want and that would be very useful and cool

What if you bought multiple of the same barrel and then just fired and swapped to a loaded barrel? I think that could be pretty effective.
