  • Hundreds of Firefighters, Police, EMS, from Rockland County were joined by departments from Orange County & New Jersey for a drive-by to wish a Happy Birthday to the son of fallen Spring Valley Firefighter Jared Lloyd.
His son turned 6-year-old today. This breathtaking show of support demonstrates the bond and strength of the first responder community in times of tragedy. Over 100 hundred trucks or apparatus would be take part and it lasted for 40 minutes.
A GoFundMe page has been created for the family of Lloyd. Please donate if you can.

The weather sums up the emotions of a county in mourning.

I was trying my best not to break down and cry been aching at me all day rest in peace brother pure dedication from a volunteer fire fighter they gave his all and laid it down on the line for his community. I used to be a volunteer fire fighter and the brotherhood and sisterhood is for real the love they have for each other. This was a big loss to to the department But most of all his family he leave behind to carry-on rest easy brother

People ask , why volunteer and i say why not. The real FIREFIGHTER (VOLUNTEER or PAID) does it for the love of community, desire to be of service and make the ultimate sacrifice. Stair dwellers talk a good game, others just do it. R.I.P. Brother , keep riding. 🙏💜.

Years ago I volunteered as an EMT in Spring Valley also FF too in Thiells N.Y.As an EMT We went to that adult home many times and faced challenges such as the very narrow elevators. We had to put our patients in a vertical position in order to use the elevator.. I don’t know the year Bader’s was built but I think the standards would not be acceptable today!
This procession was for Jared’s son who turned 6 today. So sad!

That little boy must have been so excited to see all of those vehicles driving by with lights and sirens. And Mom maybe felt a bit of hope in seeing them all, knowing that they have her back. Tears, yes. My thoughts and prayers to the family at this time. And I have to say that I'm impressed. Thank you to each of the participants for sharing some time for a little boy.

And I challenge you if you sit in such a comfortable chair that you couldn't hear these Sirens you couldn't see these lights then you are probably not the man that should be leading our country because this is what we all fight for to Save a Life not take a life not destroy our communities our countries or our Nations united we stand and every human life deserves to be able to take a breath of air and no they have somebody fighting for their life even when they are too weak to fight for their lives themselves we are the ones that give life to this country we are America but all these Sirens at once if you can't hear him then you're not who we want leading our country if they do not vibrate everything within you and penetrate every fiber within your body mind heart and soul then you are lost it is not this country that is lost it is not this nation that is lost it is not these Heroes these Warriors they're lost but it is you

Here's to you and your last voyage. Here's to the brave who fault life and limb. The one who sacrificed to save thousands. The one who looked at the face of hell and took his chances. Here's to you, the fallen, yet, the brave. My condolences to the family and friends of this man. I know it's going to be a ton of heartache, but still, hold your head high and be grateful for what his call of duty was and the finest example of bravery he has set. R. I. P. brother.

@@JB91710 I was just asking a question. Thought you might have been there since you knew how the incident was handled and how they attacked the fire. But if you weren't there then I dont know how you can tell exactly how things went. How do you know there were no hand lines in operation when the building collapse happened. How do you know the fire condition when the first units arrived. So before you start making dumbass comments maybe you should explain the part you took in the incident. Because if you weren't there then you have no place telling them how to handle the incident there is not one fire that is the same.
