I had so much fun watching you do your chores and setting up your tank. I’m glad I’m not the only one that always knocks down a pot when watering my plants 😂
Definitely knock over things too. Almost don’t even get mad anymore 😂 knocked over a whole watering can once, didn’t even react just stared and slowly went to get towels lol
It's official, everything you do I like, lol! All of a sudden I thrift, have created a few terrariums with jars from food items, I love plants and D.I.Y.-ing. You are someone I wish I could hang out with and you live where I wish I could, Utah...still stuck in California, lol! Thank you because I have been feeling somewhat sad lately and watching your videos makes a huge impact on my day. -Veronica.
Harli so glad you’re getting into planted tanks! I’ve been keeping planted tanks for a long time. With this one it looks like you are planting anubias- anubias is an epiphyte and prefers to be glued to hard scape like wood or rock. You should look into the works of Diana Walstad I think you would really enjoy reading her aquatic ecosystems books as they rely heavily on plants
Hey girl 💫 You certainly never fail to bring those good Harli vibes ✌️ to brighten my day!!! I wish I had half of your energy. You just make everything happy 😊. I love your snail habitat as I think it came out swimmingly 💫 Thank you for the mid week pick me up I so needed. 🙏🏻 Have a blessed weekend. 💫
Oh Harli, this was such a fun video to watch, that cute mini tank you created is so cool I love the look of it. and thanks for telling us about when you water your plants how to do that and also giving them some nutrients. I am also one of those that has knocked down a pot accidentily, and then there is a mess to clean up and a plant to repot. Thanks again, have a wonderful rest of your day, sending love and hugs, bye! 🤗✌👍💜💜
Your little aquatic scape looks darling!! But the anubius needs to be attached to hard scape. It will melt and rot having its roots and bulb submerged in the substrate! Otherwise great job!
My daughter got a trantula and I had so much fun setting up it's enclosure. I'm thinking of getting myself a jumping spider and I thought something like your gumball machine would make such a cute enclosure for one
I wouldn't recommend solid glass for jumping spiders, they need airflow and they don't need high humidity. It's really not good for them. Also it's a little small, jumping spoods are arboreal so they need that vertical space. 💚 I raise P. audax!
love your videos... and i hate to be that guy, but arnubias doesn't like it's roots buried in soil... best way to do it is take out the rocks, super glue it onto rock, and throw it back in... it will be way happier that way... they mount themselves onto things in the water column, they don't grow in the soil at all...
For my Ikea cabinet I was having the same problem, I'm guessing because of the humidity it messes with the adhesive from weather strip. But I used heavy duty Gorilla double sided tape over the weather strip and haven't had any problems with it falling every time I open the cabinet anymore.
“Omg should we do something fun? Omg we’re gonna do something fun” I really love your content ✨❤️ (your lil cube looks like a little jelly cube. Like a work of art ^__^)
Harli noooooo anubias takes nutrients from the water column so they dont like to be planted into substrate! You use a cyanoacrylate based super glue to glue to rhizome to some of your rocks though and that would still look amazing! ❤
I actually started in the planted aquarium hobby before I started the houseplant hobby. I ran out of room for aquariums 😂 Now I’m loving my plants under water and above 😊 and of course my beautiful fish 🥰 I learned everything I know from these aquarium RUclipsrs. These are a few of my favs… Aquarium Co-Op, KG Tropicals, Green Aqua, and Prime Time Aquatics. Best of luck with your new aquarium 🐟 Be warned! ⚠️ You might catch MTS (Multiple Tank Syndrome) 😁
Make sure the rhizomes of the anubias are not buried in the substrate otherwise they will die. You’ll need to adhere them to the rocks with aquarium safe super glue
Hi Harli, yep when I do plant shores it happens to me too. I too love terrariums, as a matter a fact I think I’m going to make one for two of my plants.
This inspired me to actually make my own little terrarium yesterday! I found some moss and rocks and hoping to get inspired for what little Planty should go in it! Thank you!!
I had a crown of thorns a few years ago. It promptly died on me but I have considered getting a new one. The leaves and flowers are just so cute and I like the contrast with the sharp spikes
You can dry start those aquatic plants in a high humidity terrarium. Most aquatic plants can grow submerged or emersed! A lot of people start their planted tanks thay way, just cover the top with glad wrap! Also, cap that soil with sand or gravel next time. 😉 I would recommend looking into Diana Walstad, she's the godmother of planted tank knowledge!
OMG that terrarium sphere at 1:20 - that looks awesome! Is that a regular like garden/wood branch in there? If that´s the case, have you ever had issues with mold? I´d love to be able to avoid the super expensive terrarium driftwood and source more locally.
I loved this video. My husband doesn’t like plants much 😅 but I was inspired to make him a small terrarium for his birthday soon. Hope he’ll like it. Have a great weekend. Btw if you put a longer commercial at the end of the video, I usually watch it while reading comments. 😊👋🏼
Wow.. we seem to be thinking about the same ideas. I'm putting together a fishbowl..I was wondering about the aquatic plants .I don't know anything about aquatic plants...
I am such a kluttzzzzzzz. I literally knock plants over ALL the time. And, i don’t clean it as soon as i should.. Hence the dirt all over the window sills… ughhh. So, I feel ya, Harley… I feel ya.. 😅
How is it going with the Pyllanthus Mirabilis? :) I have noticed with mine that if i rotate it to much while the leaves are out it messes up the ability to close up at night. So be careful with that
Here ya go! It is absolutely my favorite plant related purchase of ‘23 so far. www.amazon.com/shop/harlig/list/14VLM5EWLD2V3?ref_=aip_sf_list_spv_ofs_mixed_m
Thanks y’all for the help on the Anubias! I guess I should have researched it a bit before planting.
I moved it out of the substrate, thank you 🙏
You can, theoretically, plant Anubias in the substrate as long as you don't bury the rhizomes
Don’t worry about it! Aquariums are all about experimenting and learning they’re a lot of fun
Watching plant chores while doing plant chores is so meta but I do it too 🥲
I love how you are so happy about being home alone.
You need a “bar cart” so you can set the plants on and roll to the sink! It’s so much easier & mine folds up when I’m done.
I had so much fun watching you do your chores and setting up your tank. I’m glad I’m not the only one that always knocks down a pot when watering my plants 😂
Thank you, Carmen!
Definitely knock over things too. Almost don’t even get mad anymore 😂 knocked over a whole watering can once, didn’t even react just stared and slowly went to get towels lol
The little spice jar was so sweet

I found a big raven zz on clearance for $5 yesterday, i ofc got it and it is sooooo healthy!
I'm always dropping or breaking things during plant care and then I will have several chores to add to the day 😊
Yesss queen! I’m here 🫶🏻 also happy Mexican Mother’s Day to you my queen!!
The energy in the video is a vibe 👸🏽💃
Love this, i thought I was the only one... I also like to watch plant chores while folding clothes.😁

Thank you for this! My frazzled brain needed a reset, and this was perfect. Love your channel, and your dog's face is the sweetest 💜💜💜

I had so much fun watching you today
Great video 🎉loved the spontaneity of the terrarium, it’s awesome ❤
I love your videos! You are so genuine and authentic! 😃
I thought you were about to drink the dishwasher liquid when you were singing 😂😂😂😂😂😂 i also have to do all the dang dishes before I can water too.

Fun video. You should always wash aquarium sand before use tho 😮. Otwerise it is really dirty
You are HILARIOUS! Subscribed 💚
Such a fan of springtails! Nothing else has worked against mold for me.
Snails like to climb out of my tanks and die..... You may need a clear lid or something so they don't off themselves. 😅❤
Omg so relatable! Love this video ❤
the anubias will rot if the rhizome is submerged :(
I have the same vacuum, I love it
i made breakfast and i ate it! thanks Harli G
Wow.. we seem to be thinking about the same ideas. I'm putting together a fishbowl..I was wondering about the aquatic plants .I don't know anything about aquatic plants...

I’ve never related more to another statement… I’m a fickle little pickle… 😂
I am such a kluttzzzzzzz. I literally knock plants over ALL the time. And, i don’t clean it as soon as i should.. Hence the dirt all over the window sills… ughhh. So, I feel ya, Harley… I feel ya.. 😅
Sorry I spelled your name like Harley Davidson…. Heehee… i’ll try not to do it again..❤
God bless you.
I'm a guy, probably around the same age as you, but I related to you so much in this video 😆
What's your best tip on growing moss?
Lots of light
I usally knock it over after its been watered so then I have acwet mess.
How is it going with the Pyllanthus Mirabilis? :) I have noticed with mine that if i rotate it to much while the leaves are out it messes up the ability to close up at night. So be careful with that
...Oh yeah.... I like that rock 🪨... ❤😂❤ Reminded me of Forrest Gump. 😅
so fun
High School Musical soundtrack will now be turned on the next time I am looking for motivation 🙌🏼
Good luck watching Anubias grow. I swear they don’t grow. I don’t even know how they exist haha.
What type of sprayer/mister do you have?
This one 😊 www.amazon.com/shop/harlig/list/WSTWIWUYY3GW?ingressOrigin=shop&ref_=aip_sf_list_spv_ofs_mixed_m
It’s so hard with a baby but I love it
knocking plants over? almost every day! 😂
I make a mess every time I water too 😂 name of the game I guess. 🤷🏼♀️
What kind of water/ spray bottle are you using? That looks way easier than the one i use that just pours lots of water at one time!
Here ya go! It is absolutely my favorite plant related purchase of ‘23 so far.
