That you for this great demo of your new patches. I am an original owner of a dw8000 bought back in 1985. Unfortunately not used for more years than I want to admit. I turned it on about a year ago and to my surprise, the original internal battery was still working! Over the years I’ve also purchased the mex8000 memory module and the Retroaktiv dw8p. Now I’m looking forward to retirement this year and putting it all together again! Will definitely purchase your patches very soon. It’s nice to know that people like you still appreciate and support such a great vintage instrument which is very underrated yet quite rare in great condition. Keep up the great job!
Just like the 1st patch bank that you made for the DW-8000 you did an amazing job once again with this 2nd bank! The DW-8000 can sound so warm and analog, yet it can be a cool digital sounding synth aswell! The PPG patches specifically really sounded amazing to my ears. Great video as always Espen!
Thanks Espen for this great new bank! I got the first volume and loved it. And this bank is also great too. I am just loving the fact people are programming sounds for these amazing older synths and the sounds that are coming out are fresh and exciting. Highly recommended for anyone who is lucky enough to have one of these synths. The price is is very small considering the huge number of hours I know you have put into it.
This is excellent. Sad story.. I purchased your prior pack and loaded up and previewed all the patches. However, that same night, I somehow fried my DW-8000 and ended up giving it to my tech. I had decided that I spent too much $$$ on it lately and it was time for the pasture. If I ever get my hands on one again, I'll definitely get this new patch bank. Your patches don't sound like Bells like most other 3rd party DW-8000 patches. Lots of love went into making these for sure. Love your channel Espen!
Sounds great Espen!! I've always thought the DW8000 is underrated as a vintage synth. It might have digital waveforms but the rest is an analog signal path. I'm not sure most synth-heads know that. I know we do. ;-)
I bought your first patch bank a year or so ago and love it, but am curious is there a place where I can get the original sounds back on my DW-8000? Or a place where there is free sounds? Thanks
You can, if you use dedicated library software, transfer one patch at a time, but not how I show in the video. Then it's full banks only. I link to Unisynth in the original DW-8000 video I made and you can do it there.
I remember getting my DW-8000 on Christmas 1986. Cool keyboard and even after over 3 decades, it has potential. Great job Espen! 👍🎹
Many thanks!
Excellent sounds Espen. It's a privilege to be supporting you. 👍
Many thanks man! :)
One of the best synths ever
+1 there Green Leader! Had DW for ages, loved the sound but too many keyboard synths so chopped in for the rack, still got. 😀👍🎵🎹🍻

Already loaded in my MEX8000, and off anything, they sound better than on the video. Well worth the price.
Thanks for the support Ridley! :)
These sound great, as always! I'll snag them for my EX-8000. Cheers, Espen.
Thanks my friend! :)

My 8000 is long gone, but this brings me back to how good it actually was...
Cheers!
Lovely. So nostalgic, yet very new.
Cheers!
I can't help it but it will always be my favourite Synth .💥

Sorry to hear that about your 8000. :/ The patches works for the FB-7999 so you can use that in the meantime. ;-)
@@EspenKraft Holy Moly thanks for the tip. I never heard of that before. This is great news. Thanks again!
Fantastic! I loved your first DW8000 patch set--getting this one too. Great work!
Many thanks! :)
Those sounds dude!..... you have an innate gift of creating such a lovely vibe with them.
Thank you. 🙏😎
Thanks! :)
Wonderful! I also have the Retroaktiv DW8P. What a game changer for this synth! Worth every penny.
Cheers!
Congrats for crossing over the 80k subscriber mark! These patches sound great, and always fun to see your new patches for these old synths.
Many thanks!
Beautiful set of patches... I especially love that arpeggiator pattern as well as the lovely Tangerine Piano patch...
Thanks Paul!
sounds great as always!🎹
Cheers!
These sounds phenomenal
Mainframe is so freaking cool & fun! Amazing job!
Thanks Zoe :)

Thanks Patrick! I do think most synth heads are aware of this, but the casual vintage interested synth player might not. ;-)
Just in time to make it into the next Fyr Og Flamme album. Your first bundle was well represented on our first release!
Awesome!
Dang. That was good stuff. You wrung some first rate tones out of that gear.
Cheers!
Superb patches, they sound great !
Cheers!
best hybrid!!!! sounds are great!!!
Cheers!
Brill Espen!! My EX8k will gobble these up too 😎👍🎵🎹🍻
Cheers! :)
@@EspenKraft ingen bekymringer!! Or better, ingen årsak!! 😉
Very nice patches!!!
Thanks!
Great sounds Espen. I'm still learning my DW8000- does it have the room to store both of the patch banks that you've created, or just one? Tak-
Hi, there's only space for 64 patches in a DW-8000, so just one of my banks will fit at any time. Cheers
@@EspenKraft Thank you.
You could hunt down a MEX8000 to quickly access all. Apparently there are many mint boxed ones in them ebays....
I wanna get a DW now!
I bought your first patch bank a year or so ago and love it, but am curious is there a place where I can get the original sounds back on my DW-8000? Or a place where there is free sounds? Thanks
That's why we have Google. A quick search will get you there. ;-)
What do you think of the fb7999? Id like to see some videos of it comparing to the hardware
The fb7999 is quite ok. I have it myself.
so nice
Quickest instabuy in the world
Cheers!
Can I store your two banks alongside the patches I already have in my dw-8000? Do I need to have an expansion or anything extra? Thanks
You need to have the MEX-8000 memory expander to be able to store more than one bank of 64 patches. Or just run sysex transfers from your computer.
@@EspenKraft If I do sysex transfers without an mex-8000, Can I select individual patches to send, or do I have to send entire banks at once? Thanks!
You can, if you use dedicated library software, transfer one patch at a time, but not how I show in the video. Then it's full banks only. I link to Unisynth in the original DW-8000 video I made and you can do it there.
I notice a familiar looking headstock in the background of some of the shots - are you also a fellow bass guitarist?
Definitely not, even if I can play a little bass if I have to. It's a Fender Strat.
That's what I get for watching on my phone's tiny screen - I thougt it was a Precision!
Can I use those packs with my Korg Microsampler???
No
epic! i guess u cannot do ihold delay on my dw 6000 - is it part of teh fx on teh 8000?
The DW-6000 has an analog chorus, the DW-8000 has a digital delay.
@@EspenKraft ok, thx. that delay effect sounds sooo epic!
I have a DW8000 but the keys don't respond every time. It's like there's a loose connection somewhere. Any advice because it's kind of frustrating.
Open it up and clean all the keyboard contact points. It takes a while though and can be a cumbersome ordeal to pick it apart, but has to be done.
Will this work for the DSS-1
No chance.
Does these work in Full Bucket FB7999?
As I clearly state in the video description; yes they do. ;-)
@@EspenKraft kind of had to stop the video because of a distraction. Thank you for your reply.
No problem. I always expand on my thoughts, technical info and more in my video descriptions. Cheers
I was about to ask the same. Thanks
Hi. Can I send you private message somewhere?
My email address is right here, in the "about" section. I'm on Facebook and Instagram as well.
