Also, 'Sunshine of your Love' was co - written by Jack Bruce, Pete Brown and Eric Clapton. Also no mention of his collaboration with power - rock trio's West, Bruce & Laing(Leslie West & Corky Laing)and Bruce, Baker & Moore(Gary Moore) Bruce, Trower, Landon(Robin Trower & Bill Landon)Rocket 88 with Ian Stewart, Charlie Watts, Alexis Korner & Dick Morrissey. When someone says “he was the best” it is always arguable. Personally I believe when you listen closely to Jack’s licks on the Bass, you really hear things very few can reproduce his fluidity and passion. He was an amazing man who rocked and lived hard.

      Yes..Not a very good analogy of Bruce.....West< Bruce and Laing made a very good album..as well as playing with the great Gary Moore..Bruce was a awesome bass player..He drove Clapton to be a better guitarist..

    Ah Jack ,what a great ,musician /singer /song producer , but , like all great creative artists , they are their own men ! Thats why truly gifted , bands dont last long ! as they want to push their boundaries , its a weight on their shoulder ! all their lifes !
    just enjoy the moments they share with use ! and what they gave !

      Beg to differ, the Beatles lasted 12 years, Yes lasted, Rush lasted, Zeppelin, The Who…. Clapton turned into a speed freak and then an alcoholic. It was well known.

    Good history lesson, “Cream’s” reunion was missing, however. They sold out The Albert Hall for four separate concerts. The DVD of the best of those concerts is outstanding.

    Great musician and, going by the clips we get to see, in other vids, the Cream reunions were always fun and they appeared to enjoy playing together
    Commentators should probably do better research and not make up bs for clicks and likes

    I saw Cream in the late 60s and by far it was Jack Bruce who was for me the star. Clapton's Sunshine of your love for my group was on par to the "Monkees". But, Jack's voice and bass playing was so outstanding. Yeh.... don't ask me about Ginger.

    Also, highly recommended is Jack's album A Question of Time (1989). Excellent songs and playing from it's hot starting track to the album's finish. Ginger plays drums on two or three of the tracks as well.

    • @Riddim4
      @Riddim4 Месяц назад

      From what I've read, that may have been a factor, but another, and probably more important, was that Stigwood kept them on the road. If they'd taken a few months off each year to recharge, they might have lasted longer. And the Rolling Stone article by Jon Landau didn't help either.
