I'm late to the game on this one. But the moment of realization that President Coin was using Katniss, just as every authority figure had used her up to that point was horrifying. It could and would break a person. Especially a teenager who had literally been a sacrificial pawn for the "evil" and now the "good" side. Thankfully this is fiction lol! The juxtaposition of the poison/blood with the beautiful roses and their scent to mask the blood gives Snow such a creepy quality. I love how the author combined those elements. I love roses but may never look at one quite the same way again lol.
Hey girl love what youre doing! I plan on listening to the other books you have up when Im done with this one. But the audio seems to have changed around chapter 22 and I can barely hear some parts at full volumn. All the love Ms Lizz!!
