    Sierra, that is so very kind of your family to give wood to an elder. May your blessings be returned twofold. 😊

    Wow Sierra, did a good job with Pinons.
    Yes, I know how it is. The lady is appreciative in getting firewoods, oh my goodness she's got no woods. Thanks Sierra for helping the elderly. I do think its a good idea to get firewoods for elderly. God Bless you.

    Hi Sierra, thank you for sharing your vlog. I just reminisced Pinon picking with shi’ma sani’ and aunties when I was younger. Lunch was the best part. And what the elderly lady said had me in tears. Hopefully she has food, etc as well. Thankful to you all for helping her ❤️💖

    That poor elder, it is so sad they are too often forgotten. My old aunt used to tell me, one ole lady raised 28 kids, but 28 kids cannot stop and see one ole lady. 😥

    Aww that’s so sweet of the woman who is donating wood, specially because she isn’t even Diné. Such a kind hearted woman. Thank you to you and your fam for helping out too and delivering to her. Gosh, those boys better not load up her wood and sell it. My mom said someone said they did that to there grandparents once. So heart breaking how some kids treat there elders. Just want to give them a good a$$ kicking. So annoying how ignorant some Navajos are.

    elderly has boys and they don't bring her wood? WTH! elderly are precious, they have stories of the old ways, traditional knowledge and teachers of our language, I wish we had recording devices back when my gma was still alive, I loved hearing her tales while she weaved. Take care of your gparents..

    God bless you Sierra, the donor, the grandma (the elders) and your family 🥹🙏🏾 it’s sad to hear they want her to just stay in the nursing home rather than caring and loving her ❤😢 oh my all the piñons is making me crave it even more 😛 thank you for sharing your vlog with us 🤗 Happy New Year by the way! 🎉🥳🥳💯

    That lookout spot,would make for an awesome timelapse.....I'd spend 2 days picking,set up a tent,just to let people know your there...,but sleep in the vehcle..
    Gel knee pads,..would work well there,save you knee's...
    Awesome that your family,is looking out for your elderly neighbours...if she can't depend on her Children,she has you all...Awesome stuff..

    Oh those pinions look soo good! Oh BTW my mom and boy friend love their key chains. My mom is wearing hers as a necklace, the one with my cheii on it. The Haskell keychain hasn't made it to Kansas yet but I'm sure my niece will love it. We got a Sun's one too and my bf loves it, he said "she did a real great job."😊 Thanks again for the lovely Christmas key chains.

    Hello from California. I found your channel searching for info on Piñoñ. How long do you roast them on the stove for? I seen your video but it didn’t say how long to roast for? And also, would you able to sell some?

    • @SierraJohnson
      @SierraJohnson  8 месяцев назад

      Hi, it really depends what you heat level is at. I usually leave mine a medium heat and takes about 30 minutes, stirring constantly to avoid it from burning. I usually just crack a few open while I'm roasting to get mine to where I like them. I don not sell them.
