Lovely German Shepherd doing a great job as an Assistance Dog... I bred trained and showed GS 's v successfully years ago ...he's a beautiful boy but in my opinion he's too thin across his hip area...I can see his hip bones....he needs muscle strengthing across his sacroiliac area to support his hind legs as they appear somewhat weak to me... he's doing a wonderful job for his owner..just needs 2 to 3 more kilos on him for his overall health and physical strength I believe...

I think he’s young and still needs to fill out. Mine have all only filled out around 2-1/2 yrs old.

Thank you. Yes, putting weight on him has been challenging. He gets as much food as he will eat. High-quality kibble, cooked, raw, we are trying everything. It's baffling everyone, including the vet. But he always has high levels of energy and his 100% healthy. He is a great dog!
