Remember when BOCW had the 80s Action Heroes event, which added Rambo and John McClane, characters that actually fit the time and aesthetics of the game and also didn’t feel like as blatant of an advertisement? Pepperidge Farms remembers.
This wouldn't feel as much of a slap in the face if the game didn't have glaring problems yet to be fixed. Another sneaky thing they did that I just noticed is the battlepass doesn't give the extra 300 CodPoints if you completed it. COD is truly in its Enshittification era.
the event pass is good since the frontman was originally going to be a bundle for round 2400 cp but now it’s in a pass for only 1100 cp which gives you 3 blueprints which are cool and a finisher and skin with more stuff. So I think of it as just a cheap shop bundle.
If you look back on older Warzone games (IE MW19), the bundles are cheaper in COD points than bundles nowadays. And yet, the event pass is the same price in COD points as the bundles back then. Also, what makes them not want to increase the price of COD points with future event passes
I know I've been glazing Epic so hard recently in your comments and live chat, but as you said, Fortnite really is their biggest competitor. But your idea about including the passes with BlackCell is almost exactly what Fortnite does with their subscription service, Fortnite Crew. Fortnite Crew is only $11 a month, and you get an exclusive skin set (Skin, pickaxe, backpack, and usually a camo), as well as $10 worth of V-Bucks every month, so subscribing for a full Fortnite season, that's $33, but you get $30 worth of MTX and 3 skin sets. But what this has to do with the video is how they handle the Battle Pass. Fortnite has 4 different Battle Passes, the primary one, the OG one, the LEGO one, and the Music one, and you get all of them for free as long as your subscription is active, totaling over 260 rewards, as well as the Rocket League BP as a bonus, but the Microsoft backed Activision asks $30 every 2 months for $10 of CoD Points, and some exclusive BP styles, and nothing else. And while Epic is still massive, Microsoft still dwarfs their competition, but at the same time they're running circles around them. And just to really put it side by side, you get: $30 USD > 2 Months of BlackCell: -111 Battle Pass rewards -1,100 ($10) of CoDP (+1,100 in the BP) -And 14 exclusive skin styles $22 > 2 Months of Fortnite Crew -260 Total BP Rewards (Spread across 4 BPs) -2,000 ($18) of V-Bucks (+1,500 in the BP) -2 Skin sets -RL's BP All of this is a really confusing and strung along way to say that Activision could totally do that, and IMO, if you buy Vault edition, you should get at least the base 6 BPs included. (In reality though, I think if you spend $70 on the game, you should get all 6 base BPs, and all BlackCell BPs for the $100 Vault edition, but I know that'll never happen, and at this point I'm rambling...)
Like a lot of players have already said, if the game's main issues were fixed and they weren't just updating the shop every 5 seconds; nobody would bat an eye at the Premium Pass and I guarantee a lot more people would buy them.
COD isnt a free to play title at all, ive been paying $110 AUD almost every year and it still opens up with ADs that i dont want and PAID battelpasses that your pay for and then have to EARN it anyway. its a joke that nobody is laughing at But as soon as it becomes free im not going to play it anymore. The experience was best when it was a paid game with paid map packs and thats all i want, no more ads and no more battle passes
I’ll quickly do both sides as well cause I agree with your points. If you’re buying all of that every season that’s more of a you thing, I get the battle if I like it or have spare cod points. Blackcell maybe if it has good skins since it comes with battle pass. And also if they wanna go this route with a premium event pass why don’t they just do it like Fortnite and if you buy their $12 subscription you get the battle pass, and the event pass and a bonus skin. For $30 dollars cod could include all of that and be fine
Makes you wonder Is fortnite actually better then cod Not many hackers F2p Many many many gamemodes Constant updates Live events I mean cmon man whats bad about it (Skins are decently priced)
Huh do i wana pay 20$ for a okay skin and a wrap or do i want to pay 10$ for s pretty cool looking skin a wrap snd a few other things I think the answer is clear Imo
I got this not that I liked squid games but because of the fact it includes 4 blueprints with tracers, a unique operator, a finishing move and a mostly ok emote, that’s like double the content, I think it would be ok as long as the price is reasonable, as I finished the event about 3 hours ago and I slept for a full 10 hours, shh is still the best emote if you were wondering
I don't play Call of Duty, your video got suggested to me. I used to play COD and I bought MW (the newer one) and played a lot and enjoyed it but things got really bad after those events that they brought every random character in COD. The game doesn't feel like serious COD anymore, it's like Fortnite. I'm enjoying The Finals and it has great cosmetics for way less cheaper and it's a free game. I think COD fell off after promising MW being the base game and they update it and they didn't. For me, COD is Fornite for someone who thinks they are grown out of Fortnite daycare. Btw, a paid game shouldn't have battlepass or paid event pass, Activision is screwing its players by putting these passes and bundles and saying it's for the Warfare mode, YEAH SURE! COD is diluted in awful crossovers and doesn't have an IP anymore I think. I hope you guys can enjoy it, sure I can't.
How do you guys feel about the idea of 'premium' event rewards?
It’s dumb
Bullshit at first.
But if you look at it like a bundle, that is cheap.
(Didn't buy a single bundle for 5 years and probably never will)
Me when I’m in a greed competition and my opponent is Activision
I agree with your video, and I don’t have any reasons against it, I just really don’t like it, and don’t want to see it
They have had premium events there calls the season battle pass
Remember when BOCW had the 80s Action Heroes event, which added Rambo and John McClane, characters that actually fit the time and aesthetics of the game and also didn’t feel like as blatant of an advertisement? Pepperidge Farms remembers.
I really liked how the weapon blueprints in those sets were inspired by the guns from the movies

I really like the bright orange shirt in the dark room.
I feel like the sun is speaking to me about spending $10 in CoD

20 day long event is crazy work
If COD's trying to be Fortnite, at least make the damn game fun and worth the time.
The thing is fortnite is not fun either
Like a lot of players have already said, if the game's main issues were fixed and they weren't just updating the shop every 5 seconds; nobody would bat an eye at the Premium Pass and I guarantee a lot more people would buy them.
The premium track is basically a store bundle idk how people dont notice thats all it is
i wonder if the premium track would be viewed differently if it was just a 10$ bundle instead of a battle pass event reward

@ReplayMode taught me the importance of tummy time.
Look how much money CODM makes, they are LOSiNG money by not making it f2p at this point

Squid Game
buy the battle pass once and u get enough cod points for the next season fyi
They are doing the literal same as Fortnite
Makes you wonder
Is fortnite actually better then cod
Not many hackers
F2p
Many many many gamemodes
Constant updates
Live events
