How Phil talked you and the rest of the table including 2 "pros" into making a "deal" is beyond comprehension. For you to forfeit your hand and still have to pay that 5k is ludicrous. The action was on Phil and for him to do something like this is an absolute disgrace to the poker community, I dont think he means to angle in the beginning but the outcome of the hand is just purely scummy. Best outcome would have been for you both to put 5k in the pot (the initial bet) and then run the rest of the board.

What Phil did is allowed in a private game setting and you'll see it occasionally, if this was Live cash at your standardized casino it would be a fold. Granted Phil should've been aware that almost none of the rec players have had Live poker experience in a private game setting.

For Slime - A bit of plane knowledge if you didn't already learn it, what it sounded like happened when your plane aborted landing while really windy is called a No-Fault Go Around. It's actually pretty common, and essentially if the pilot feels like the landing is going to be unsafe or uncomfortable, they can decide to cancel their landing and try again without any questions or fault. This is done to not stress pilots into committing to unsafe landings because they might be questioned and pressured by their airlines.
It's so funny that when Ludwig was debating the universality of OK he chose Botswana, where English is an official language, and Sri Lanka where the majority of the population speaks English (and usually one of two other languages)

Sadly it still put a bad taste in my mouth towards pro poker and its fanbase and for a stream that was most definitely an attempt to get new viewers for pro poker it failed on that front spectacularly for me. Still was a really great stream but I have less than zero interest in watching pro tournaments after it.
