Nothing from what I saw suggested that he is going to be star(I wish he does become one). In fact even from the highlight clips his opponent looks far superior and I imagine he won the bout. I know he has only had 5 bouts but its extremely wishful thinking to say he going to be a star based on that.
You are right, his opponent Jack Daly won the bout and is also the reigning London champion, having won the title 6 x and looking to make it 7. It would indeed be wrong to base the claim of future stardom on this bout alone. Time will tell. This is his first year as a senior and we have to see how he develops going forward.
A 5 bouter IE novice Taleb against a 40 bout ring experienced fighter in Daly. This fight proves experience and number of fights shows levels and being a raw 5 bout novice does not cut it. IE why you have national development championship under ten bouts and national development championship over ten bouts, and that's the level he's at. No way should Taleb have been in the elite championships...only a matter of time until what happened to him did and he got shown up. His trainer needs to answer questions about why he would do this to the kid and not look after him and bring him along slowly until he reached the ability and skills to compete and hold his own equally with 40/50/60 bout plus kids in the national elites.
I think he did well considering the gulf in experience as I’ve seen other fully fledged elites do far worse against Jack, but overall you make some very valid points. The thing with the elites is that there is no going back!
@@BoxingTunes exactly I boxed for many years and was London novice ABA champion then went on into the senior ABAs and boxed a kid called Dean Richards from the Hollington. I was not supposed to win but I beat him on a unanimous. I at that time had had 21 bouts, he had had 50 junior and senior combined so was far more experienced and the name fighter in the south east at light welter division. I then went on and lost in the finals on the same night to my team mate Damian Gregory from the Fitzroy Lodge...he lost in the London semis to Eddie Corcoran and Eddie went on to win that nationals that year. The year before this I'd boxed for London twice, once against the army at fairfield hall croydon and once against a Guernsey select team winning on both occasions. Back then the national novices never existed only the London's and then if you won that you became an intermediate and had only the ABA seniors you could enter. What I'm saying is there were 3 attempts before I won the London's each time reaching a semi or final but just falling short and in-between that boxing on shows to gain more experience so that when I did eventually win the title I had ring IQ and my technique and style was in place. I feel sorry for the fella in the vid as he needs to learn the game, mold into his own unique style and gain that experience of when to go hard, how to time the round and how to turn on the pressure. All comes with experience all comes with time Now the poor fella has to box on club shows with out the option of entering the development champs and gaining confidence and experience along the way as well as developing his style. Then he could enter the elites and hold his own with the best in the city and eventually the country. He's got it hard now only having five bouts and by the time the season starts again and the elites roll around he would have been boxing novices and only amassed another five to ten fights boosting his card to ten or fifteen bouts over all and still would be meeting ex school boy champs, junior ABA champs, NABC champs coming up from junior ranks to the seniors with that experience and ring craft under their belts. It's gonna be hard for the fella until he can get over the twenty bout mark and if he sticks with it. His trainer has a lot to answer for this.
@@maverick5039 Which club did you box out of if you don’t mind me asking? There is another channel that you should check out called into the fold and they run a series called Poshboy. Most of them are filmed out of Fitzroy lodge. I highly recommend it. Thanks for taking the time to articulate not just your opinion but your experiences and facts about what it takes to climb the ranks in amateur boxing. London has the most clubs and arguably the hardest route to Nationals comparing to the other regions so there is all of that to consider alongside competing at Seniors and having to contend with mature men, with man strength. Some people develop earlier but I think it’s fair to say that generally you need to be approaching your mid twenties before getting to that stage of physical development.
@@BoxingTunes I boxed for a number of clubs from starting out at the new enterprise Tottenham which no longer exists and is now home to the Haringey police, I. Left and joined the angel ABC which was in the angel Islington opposite the clock tower. That also closed when John Jacobs who used to run the club passed away. I then joined Haringey had a few bouts there and then moved again to the Islington. I won the London Novices there with Trainers Paul Hammick and Colin Wilson who now trains seniors out of the Times ABC. I then moved on and finished my career at the Fitz Roy lodge where I entered the senior ABAs and was trained for that by Billy Webster and Eres. I was there when Mick Carney was still alive and had the opportunity to meet him and be trained by Billy Babes Webster. I haven’t been to Haringey yet although there are quite a few videos up from the last Boxcup at Alexander Palace on my page and 5 videos from White Hart Lane that kicked off my Amateur Focus series. Do you still attend any amateur events?
Mohammed is going to be a star
It’s hard to argue with that! Great talk, but backed it up with some skills too…
That’s a decent performance against a very very tough opponent.

Yo jack daly teaches me boxing in ym school lol
Come on! Learning from the champ 🙌🏾😮💨
God he chats a load a rubbish. Good to see scenes of him getting beaten up intertwined with this interview lol
Senior elites is different league! I think he held his own pretty well considering.
كفووووو محمد 😎🏛️
???????
What the question?
no where enough power or accuracy i'm 76kg and would definitely melt both
Is that right?! Lol
😂
I definitely agree with you on the power side of things! They punch like middleweights, they haven’t got a heavyweights build to carry that power.
