I think you would enjoy these tunes too: Free Your Mind (Envogue), Rub You The Right Way (Johnny Gill), Too Legit to Quit (MC Hammer), Word Up (Cameo). Two great contemporary options are Lose Control (Teddy Swims) and Colors (Black Pumas).
This was on the tv show "The Midnight Special". There is a better version of it where Helen Reddy introduces them and, in the video, it shows the horn section, which are very cool. Look for that one.
I grew up listening to all kinds of music. During my teens in the 70s I loved Earth Wind and Fire and Motown music since the 60s so when this song came out…it had me and many others laughing! Always a hit at a party! 😹😽🎶
@@stillmrdoge I’ve always felt blessed to have grown up then. Well…I do now! 😹 At the time, it didn’t feel special (I loved the 1940s styles and music) but now I realize how special and exploratory music was back then. 😻
Wild Cherry was formed in 1970. They have a very funky sound. Most people are shocked to see that this is a white band. The band's name "Wild Cherry" was taken from a box of cough drops.
One of the many great classics from the 70's that you might enjoy is Bobby Caldwell's "What You Won't Do For Love". Also one of the most captivating voices from the 70's is Karen Carpenter's. I'd suggest The Carpenters "We've Only Just Begun". Of course there is much, much more to explore from that wonderful era.
I was suepeised when u said you never heard this song before.... You must have heard FUNKY TOWN before, sorry cant recall the band ( Towelie made me forget) Apollo 440 - Stop the Rock
Wow another great song, you keep picking all the songs I wanted to pick, when this first came out nobody could believe they were actually White no offense, I think this is probably the best decade of music, the hair gets me every time, time for me to bring up my bell bottoms, in polyester shirts, lol lol, wants me to go roller skating now, i knew you were going to enjoy this song, you're not that you say it does kind of almost sound like a white Rick James I never thought about it like that, yeah I can almost hear living in America, that phrase play that funky music white boy always crack me up, oh mr Doge lost it, lol lol, no you just enjoyed the song, that's what the song does to you it just brings that out of you, thanks.

The 70’s had some of the best music!!!!
forgot to shout you out for this 🙌❤
@tinakeith5822 I totally agree. The 70s music was some of the best ever! It's not even close. I am also a huge fan of early 80s UK music!
Not the 70s
WIld Cherry's lead singer/guitarist is Elvin Bishop. His band plays the song "FOOLED AROUND AND FELL IN LOVE" with Mickey Thomas singing.
Rob Parisi is the lead singer for this particular song.
Ill add that one to the list 🙌🙌💕💕
I think you would enjoy these tunes too: Free Your Mind (Envogue), Rub You The Right Way (Johnny Gill), Too Legit to Quit (MC Hammer), Word Up (Cameo). Two great contemporary options are Lose Control (Teddy Swims) and Colors (Black Pumas).

Lmao very interesting 🙏❤️
Luden's
I never understood why anyone would be surprised that they're white. Their only hit song makes absolutely no sense if the singer ISN'T white.
Damn he sound's like Rick James.....
Love IT 👈🎶🎵❤️🔥
lol 🙌🙌💕💕
Rick James sounded like Wild Cherry

Thanks so much 💕💕🙌🙌
This is so awesome. Got to love this. Love your reaction!
✨✨🌹🌹💕💕
I never thought about him sounding like a white Rick James ... But damn! You're right! He does sound like Rick James. Too funny 😂
🤣🤣🤣
Rick James was right on. I was 20 when this came out. Since you like guitar, you should check out one of Santana's favorites. Dick Dale.
Thanks so much ill add this to the list and give you a shoutout when i get around 🙌🙌💕💕

Apollo 440 - Stop the Rock
I know that one my grandma favorite song lol
You are right about the lead singer sounding like Rick James, but Rick James came on the scene later. Loved your reaction.
🙌🙌🤣🤣
"Blue-eyed Funk".
🙏🔥
this whole song was a true story you can look it up and hear the whole thing read the whole thing
Oh snap
I remember this song from my days at the club ..... long time ago.
Lol were you wearing bell-bottoms too 🤣
Since we're getting racial, try "Black Betty" by Ram Jam. Another good, fun song!!! It'll put a smile on your face too!
lmao i got you gonna do that one and give you a shoutout 🙌🙌💕💕
If you like Wild Cherry, try another one of their hits, "Ballroom Blitz".
Added ❤️🙏
Disco played out as fast as it started. Thank God 😎
Lmao I love disco
The Rick James comparison is sweet. (Although to be fair, Rick could go lower, smoother, and dirtier.).
Why did you say a "white" Rick James? Why not just Rick James? What makes him sound "white"?
LOVE the reaction!! :)
Romans 10:13 Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.
Amen Amen Amen
Didn’t realize he was a white dude did you?!? 😂😂😂
I did lol 🙌🙌💕💕
