But in 1008 there is 4 significant figures and in 1.02 have 3 significant figures ... less significant figures value is 1.02 that's why the answer is 988🙂

I think if there was 5200 then we can count 2 significant number
& When it was 5200 cm. ( With any physical unit) we have to consider zero in significant number so 4 significant number there.
