    couple questions//first,how is he gonna utilize the black tube to run his wires thru with the side panel closing off the access?also,the side battery compartments??so you gotta drill out the rivets every time you need to access the batteries?..like others have said..nice work!American craftsmanship

    • @TRICKEDTINS
      @TRICKEDTINS  Год назад

      The side panels are installed with screws. They will obviously have to be removed to run wires. The front compartment is wide open. You can access the batteries from the hatch. I just left them off until he gets wires all ran for easier install

    Why no flat sheet foam panels between the ribs. Helps with noise plus floation

    I like it but would want center console closer to rear bench to sit when tired of standing and make that rear hatch more of a run-off style to remove any splash-over from sudden stops or big fish pulls.other than that bravo!!those hatch corners is that something that can be bought and cut fit n weld or something you make in house.also what welder do you suggest,yeah i know its an ac welder but what brand?snooky pa.

      He has a cooler with a cushion top that mounts in that bracket right in front of the back bench. I sell the hatch section. $5.50 per foot. TrickedTinsJonboats.com

    My dad just gave me his boat just like this one except its 20'X8' with a 115 Yamaha on the back. I was so curious about the flooring because he has plywood that needs to be changed out. But after watching this I guess I'll be going back with plywood. Lol amazing job my dude. U killed it.

    Just curious why do you rivet so much when you can weld
    Not hating just curious
    Usually all welded boats have no rivits

    • @TRICKEDTINS
      @TRICKEDTINS  Год назад +1

      That's an excellent question. Welding causes warping. Especially with thin metals. If you look close at the outside of any welded boat, you can see where each floor/side rib is located based off the slight warp from the weld in the hull. I weld the framework and rivet the decking and hatches in. Those things aren't structural. They just need to be attached. The side panels aren't welded in case they need to be removed to run wires, fix wires, etc. I build from experience of what I've seen/learned in 20yrs. Most of my customers come back in a year and want to add more deck space or change the layout. I can literally disassemble this entire boat (minus the framework) in less than an hour. Hope this answers your question. Thanks for watching!

    Sure lets use a slick smooth aluminum floor in a wet boat......anyone with a IQ higher then a pine cone would have used aluminum diamond plate for a floor for grip and safety.

    • @TRICKEDTINS
      @TRICKEDTINS  Год назад

      SMDH, the floors are made out of smooth aluminum because they get covered with turf! It needs a smooth surface to make sure it adheres correctly. Go watch some of my other videos, and you will see what the boats look like once they get the seadek installed. Iq of a pinecone? That's some hilbilly shit right there, lol.
