  • With March being a tricky month in our part of the world we decide to simply make the most of a pleasant evening on a shallow and very peaceful Northumberland beach.
    Nothing prolific but an extremely enjoyable way to round off the weekend. Sit back, relax and enjoy!
    Thanks for watching, tight lines and keep fishing!

    Short but sweet. I love the drone footage.❤
    A nice flounder saves a blank, but the scenery, solitude and just being out, learning as you go, means no session is a blank.👏
    A great channel, thanks for sharing.👍
    Take care and stay safe.😷🙊

    Leave a spare flask of hot soapy water & small towel in the car to wash your hands with at the end of a session. It saves the mess on the steering wheel. I just bought a spinnng rod, so I'll give this a go, thank for posting.

    I now know where I went wrong as a kid and beyond as an attractant. I'm an exiled Geordie and we couldn't get yellowtails back in the 80's locally..that said I could get plenty from Kent in the last 25 years and that didn't make any difference either... Fantastic to watch you fishing places as I did as a youngster. Cheers

    Great video David, fishing open surf beaches is my favourite type of sea angling particularly marks like one you where trying out. It really did look Bassy with rocks to one side and a deep hole in between the main beach area. Its got to produce at sometime or other! Its just a matter of trial and error. I hope it produces the goods for you. Good luck Gordon.

    I'm from the Hudson Valley in New York, Orange County to be specific and I totally didn't understand that part about the yellow fingers LOL When we say someone has yellow fingers its usually because they smoke way too much. Can you clarify that bit for me? And just an FYI I'm gonna be going to try my luck in the Hudson River around Stony Point NY to catch some Stripped Bass in the next week or so. Wish my luck guys!!

    • @mattwebster7266

      Hi. The worm's we dig on our beaches for bait are cauld blow lug and they give off a yellow dye. When you're either collecting the worm's or baiting up, the worm's release this yellow dye which doesn't wash off ur hands. " but sort of wears off after a few days. Hope that helps.

    • @fullcircleangling
      @fullcircleangling  Год назад +1

      Hi Steven, firstly hello from the other side of the pond🙋‍♂️great to hear that you’re watching the channel 👍
      As Matt says below it’s the iodine dye that the worms give off. The reason I mentioned it was because I had a date the next day after a fishing session about 7 months ago and I was worried she’d spot my yellow fingers and be put off by them!🤣 luckily she wasn’t and she’s now my girlfriend ☝️
      Tight lines in the Hudson River💪 let me know how you get on, be great to see your catches👍👍

      @@mattwebster7266 Awesome Matt thanks so much for the response. I know the folks who make these wonderful videos are busy and get many responses so I think its cool you stepped up and responded even though Full Circle did come around just lately (HaHa) Thanks and Cheers!! 😅

      @@fullcircleangling It was really great to see some fishing and also the plants and animals up close and just everything from across the pond. I love to see how folks do things from a new and different country or culture. I was in the US Navy and now a Disabled Veteran and much to my disappointment I never made it across the Pond.
      I appreciate you responding with further information about the yellowing. Its fascinating to learn that its Iodine causing the yellow. We use Bloodworms to fish for Striped Bass and if your not familiar they truly live up to their name (very bloody) and can basically vomit out their teeth and throat to try and bite/pinch looking like a full on alien creature!!!! They are great bait but expensive. Last time I bought a dozen it came to $13 USD or 11.91 Euro's and 10.46 Pounds
      That's just great that your date went well and you have a somewhat new lady friend. I've been a bit lonely lately when it comes to that but nothing terrible HaHa Will we be getting an introduction anytime soon? You should take her fishing and make a video if you haven't yet!!!! Either way best of luck.
      Lastly I will do my best to make something that looks like a video if I have any luck with the Stripped Bass. Be warned If I do it will surely look like a child's crayon drawing but I promise to still post it and shoot you the link in a comment LOL 🤣😂
      Thanks for the response and best of luck to you. I'll look for more of your videos in the future and hopefully we get to meet your Lass. Tight Lines, Fair Winds and Following Sea's to you good Sir 😀

    Looks like Yellowtail’s are the new aphrodisiac. Anyway, I wouldn’t worry about yellow fingers, most of the women of the Northeast are lathered in some kind of orange-fake tan concoction. Must be an attractant.
    I wonder if Squid and Cart wraps has the same effect?
    Cheers

    • @fullcircleangling
      @fullcircleangling  Год назад +1

      🤣🤣 very true.
      I’ve found squid and cart seems to work better during the late winter months when they prefer more shellfish based baits over worm, especially if it can be washed down with a warming Argentinian red👌🏻
