How to identify a live performance from a lip sync ? I have seen Farhan's recent live show videos. Those seem to be actually live given he improvises a lot. But I cannot understand which is actually live and which is lip sync when I see Jal's older show videos.

Some TV show appearance at not be In this particular performance you can tell it's live because they brought their whole band, their are switching controls on their equipment on run time, and Jal had 1 lead Vocalist (Farhan Saeed) and 2 backing Vocalists (Goher the lead guitarist, and Saad Sultan the 2nd guitarist). Farhan still performs live it's his selling point from the inception of his career with Jal. It's not for nothing that this band remained the Top Band of Subcontinental Asia for a straight decade. They enjoy that spot because of their Live Concerts and performances.

About the lip sync point, I think i don't have the eye to catch it in general. But there is no need to worry about it when it comes to Jal. I guess, except for a few TV show appearances, I have not seen them lip sync (of what i could understand with my limited knowledge).

The beauty of Farhan as a person is he was just interested in singing and didn't not give shit about who he replaced in the band and neither was he interested in Gohar/Atif war-crap. Farhan attitude was "Give me a song, I will sing it" and that was it. Plus Damn now look the guy can has given hit dramas but just caring about his skills and not politics, even though he was dealt badly by the other 2 who wanted to drag Farhan in their war. Love Farhan for his perseverance.
